Hi all,

New demo: smoother graphics, combat and lighting

I've just uploaded a new demo which includes all the graphics lighting changes that I've been working on. You can download the demo from the main campaign page - just install over the top of the old one.

The game will look a lot smoother now we have better anti-aliasing options by default. Head over to a jump gate and have a look at how the light from your weapons and engine. Hit SPACE to fire your main gun: note that whilst you'll hit other ships I've not added damage yet.

New Kickstarter video with upgraded combat

I've also released a new Kickstarter video showing excerpts of the latest combat code. I've now got basic light bolters into the game. To produce the clips for the new video, I staged a massive battle over Earth - here's a preview:

Six days to go!

We're at 70% funded with 6 days to go. I have a plan if we don't get funded, but it'll make my life a lot easier if we do. This might be a good time to upgrade your pledge, or back the project for the first time. I'd really appreciate it if you do. Thanks!

Until next time,
Chris

Ok, new working windows build should be up now. Sorry about that!

It's just come to my attention there's a problem on startup with the latest windows build. Mac is unaffected.

I've rolled back the demo and will upload a new one later on tonight.
