Update: Refunds and (again) "Extended Collectors Cut"-Editions

Posted by Cinemaware (Creator)

So thanks again for your and comments. We will send you an update about the refund process within this week or lately in the next week. Its for our small team a big process to handle all the refunds, so please be a bit more patience with us. Also thank a lot to all of you who said we should save their pledges for our other projects. This helps us a lot.

For our Cinemaware-Retro Project we got messages from backers and supporters regarding the content etc. Also here thanks to all who supported us now there. But please hang on to share this project :)

We have some updates for "Defender of the Crown - Extended Collectors Cut." First we worked a bit on the design of the Box and Poster. It now fits more into the original design. Also we changed the Artwork of the Sticker. This is now a pixel version of the Magazine-Commercial of "Defender of the Crown".

And now detailed information of the content:

DotC - classic Amiga Version with New Intro - Running on Amiga CD32, Amiga with CD-Rom and PC and Mac (build in Emulator).

DotC - classic Amiga Version - Running on Amiga CD32, Amiga with CD-Rom and PC and Mac (build in Emulator). Also .adf to create your own discs.

DotC 2 - (CDTV/CD32) - Running on Amiga CD32, Amiga with CD-Rom and PC and Mac (build in Emulator).

DotC - C64 - Rom for your own Emulator and Diskfiles to create Disks.

DotC - NES, Apple IIgs, Amstrad CPC, CD-i - Rom for your own Emulator or .iso to burn.

The Soundtrack of the Amiga-Version as mp3 files.

PC supports Windows XP,7,8 and 10.

Delivery should be start in Decemeber 2015. This is the first part of a Series. In February Rocket Ranger - Extended Collectors Cut" follows.

So thanks again for your support,

No Linux version? Isn't it all running in an emulator anyway?

Thanks Claus, this helps really a lot. The Mega Drive Version is still in development. But it needs time.

Btw.: just out of curiosity: what happened with the Mega Drive Version of It came from the Desert?
Have you already released it, or has it been laid on ice or canceled?
I was always amazed about this one.

      Hi Sven.
I've just ordered the Defender of the Crown Edition.
I would pledge some money to an improved Wings (new campaign), but as long as there is no project and no info what my pledge would give me i would rahter get my Rocket Ranger pledge back.
That i will help once you have something to offer (project, timetable, information about the pleadge level / reward) I'll be back.
The above mentioned purchase was more or less a sign of good will toward you, and i hope it helps a bit.

No, you don´t need that. We got a cooperation with Cloanto.

Question: So you dont need Amiga Forever by Cloanto to run these games on PC ? you just put the CD into the PC and it runs ?

Hi Sven, I appreciate the work that will go into providing refunds (although please make sure to get that next update / notification out within the promised time frame of a week or so). I imagine once you start processing the refunds people will feel a lot more confident. For myself, I admit the returned money will be quite helpful to me. Also thanks for the extended information on DOTC - as a show of support, I've placed an order. :-)
Looking forward to the Extended Cut for Rocket Ranger in Feb and future projects. If you were about I'd buy you a beer.
