About this project
Bad Campaign is the politically super charged party game. You are a candidate running a half-baked campaign for the office of president against your friends. Players take turns reading question cards containing campaign slogans, political promises, and awkward statements. The candidates submit one of the hundreds of crazy answer cards to fill in the blank. The combinations are read out loud and the reader votes for their favorite.
The candidate that gains the most votes by the end of the game wins and is moving into a plush crib on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The game is made up of cards that let you take the low road to the White House while poking fun at current candidates, the current administration, and previous administrations. Just like in real presidential campaigns you will make plenty of horrible promises and terrible statements, but in Bad Campaign the more ridiculous you are, the better your chances for getting elected.
The game pulls content from real quotes and situations. Combined with our offbeat answer cards you will be laughing with your friends and at the fat cats in Washington in no time.
The game has over 500 question and answer cards creating billions of possible combinations. The content has already been created. The game has been meticulously play-tested to insure maximum laughs.
Just over a year ago, our close knit group of friends collectively groaned about another season of presidential politics. The field of candidates is overflowing with a collection of pseudo royal families, millionaires, and weirdos. We decided to make fun of them all!
The idea for Bad Campaign came during a rousing game of trivia when one of our friends uttered the famous campaign promise 'Read my lips no new...!' Before he could finish someone yelled out "smoking crack!" Thus the idea for Bad Campaign was born.
The game was created by longtime friends Dave Campbell, Walter Nies and Terrance Rumson. We think this game combines all the things we're best at creating, and and put together this Kickstarter campaign because we can't build this without you.
So if you're into party games or laughing at politicians, please help us make this game a reality. We think you'll love it as much as we do.
See you on the BAD CAMPAIGN trail,
-Dave, Walt, and T-Rum
A special thanks to all the family, friends, and understanding spouses. Thanks to the supportive groups who play-tested this game and gave great feedback. You helped shape what this game has become.
Next, a huge thanks to the members of TEAM BAD CAMPAIGN as we have laughed, hurled insults, and threw Sweet Chili Doritos at each other while creating this game. Lastly, a big thanks to the other kickstarter game inventors who helped us along the way.
Risks and challenges
Bad Campaign is complete and ready to go. We need your support for a professional printing.
We have worked very hard to create a high-quality game. This project is modeled on our previous successful business projects, so we know how to manage the challenges and deliver results on time.
We have already outlined a detailed plan for volume printing. We will be using reliable printers that we already have relationships with for our cards.
We'll be using a quality local fulfillment service allowing us to inspect the games before they're packed for shipment. We will be tracking shipments to make sure all backers get their packages.
We are committed to keeping you informed. We will also be transparent about the process. If anything does go wrong, we'll let you know right away and tell you how we're going to fix it.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know!
