Ogre Miniatures Set 1 Unboxing!

Posted by Steve Jackson Games (Creator)

Howdy everyone! As we bide our time it takes for the miniatures to arrive, we have an unboxing of a production sample for Ogre Miniature Set 1! These are not final production copies, but approved samples, so very close to what they will be, if not the same.

As you can see, there's a whole lot of plastic in that box. Plus some nice accessories, like the stat cards, glow-in-the-dark die, and more. A lot of these inclusions are thanks to our awesome backers! Due to your support, we are able to make the ultimate starter box for anyone looking to upgrade their Ogre game, or start a new Ogre Miniatures collection from scratch.

We'll have more content in the future, so stay tuned (and like the Facebook page to get alerted when we do live stuff like this).

@KevinR: We do a weekly Facebook Live event to unbox or show people how to play different games. We post these shortly after on the Kickstarter if it's relevant.

@Midian: We're sorry about any delays that have incurred. As we stated in Update #56, "This means the best case scenario is delivery the week of October 23, with product shipping to supporters the weeks of the 23 and 30. Worst case scenario is delivery the week of November 6, with product shipping to supporters the weeks of November 6 and 13." If we can get a more specific timeline within that 2-3 week window for shipping, we will share it with backers.

As to the concerns over any delays, SJG has been pretty open and forthcoming with problems in the development and scheduling of the campaign, with announcements via the Updates here, as well as an email newsletter.

When a producer is dealing with Chinese factory, it introduces inherent delay issues that sometimes can't be glossed over.

      @ Kevin

Bought this game for my cousin. He has the original & expansions. Been playing it since the 80s. He loves war gaming. It was sad to hear today that he's so disappointed that, he's over it. He was excited with getting more of the minis in the next campaign, but now he doesn't even care anymore. Even bought a shirt off of an employees back, cause he loves the game so much.

He messaged them directly to see what's taking so long & was told November

Video seems to work now. Thanks!

Yep — sounds like a posting error. There's no unboxing to be seen, just a photo of a guy holding a box.

SJG once again prioritizes its social media fans over its KS backers. Why do I keep backing your projects?

Help - cannot see the Facebook page or see how I get to look at the unboxing. Feeling sad and left out :-(
