More Minis Painted By Ben!

Posted by Steve Jackson Games (Creator)

We recently shared pictures of some Ogre Miniatures Set 1 painted by Ben Williams, and got quite the response! So much so that we sent him home with some more miniatures to paint up in different schemes, and potentially write up a little walkthrough. He's working on the latter, but in the meantime, we've got some more pictures to share of various shades of Ogre Miniatures! These sculpts are not final, and of course the miniatures come unpainted, but we wanted to give you an idea of what can be done with these models. These were all painted on the red plastic (for Ogres) and blue plastic (for units).

There are more to come, thanks to Phil for taking some nice studio shots of these at home, and obviously to Ben for the amazing paint jobs. We'll get some more painted models up soon, stay tuned!

      Love the old school look.

@Sean Malloy: Not currently in the works, but a guide with Ben is something we'd like to do. -HS

The paint scheme for the MSL in the second picture makes the stern a little reminiscent of the armored covers on the engine deck of the British Valentine and Matilda II tanks from WWII...

Out of curiosity, are there any plans to release just the 'Painting' section of the Ogre Miniatures rulebook as a separate PDF for people who intend to use the miniatures with the Ogre 6e boards and don't need the full rulebook, but want a guide to painting their minis?

@Dean Kirkpatrick: Last update ( we mentioned a delay, which will put us this fall (September/October). We're working with the factory to get them in your hands as quickly as possible. Also, just to reiterate, the models Ben is working with are not final. We wanted to demonstrate that they take to paint well, but they aren't just sitting around finished, we just had some test shots for him to paint. -HS

Nice but when are we going to have our own to paint?

Would love to have high resolution versions of the ORGEs for desktop backgrounds! Awesome work.

Excellent painting, especially considering that the minis are barely an inch long!
