Good News For Daniel . . . But . . .

The good news is that Daniel and Kaitlyn are about to be the parents of twins!

The bad news (for us) is that Daniel is going to do the right thing – he's not going to be Daddy from Austin. He is going back to Singapore to be with his wife and babies.

Daniel will remain involved in Ogre projects as time and distance allow. I'm especially hoping that he can continue with scenario design.

Please: if you are at Gen Con, stop by the booth or one of the Ogre events to meet Daniel and say thanks for everything he has done! If you are not at Gen Con, you can still congratulate him on the Ogre forums.

Not long after Gen Con, I hope to be able to report a new Ogre T/O. The cybertanks will keep moving!

– Steve Jackson

PS - I expected to see a contract on the venue by close of business today, but that didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for your kind words and well wishes, everyone. It's been an honour to serve you on this project and to meet so many fellow Ogre fans at cons.

I can't wait for the reactions when folks actually get the game in their hands in a few months!

Congrats Daniel and good luck Steve with the GenCon Ogre events! Looking forward to the big Austin event in October.

This is quite awesome, actually. If I ever visit Singapore (stranger things have happened), I know who to contact about all things locally Ogre! Total win!

      And congrats, Daniel and Kaitlyn.

Congrats to Kaitlyn and Daniel! Best, best, best wishes.
Having done work from Australia for a European firm, it's possible, and Skype will help. Sometimes the timezones work in your favour - they can ask a question at COB, and your answer is there in the morning for them.

Hugs to both - and soon all 4 - of you.

Congrats Daniel! My twin daughters are 4 months old. It's tough but completely worth it. Good luck with your new venture.

The little ones would *totally* fit in an OGRE box.

      Daniel -

There will be a period of time when you wonder if you can survive twins, the simple answer is yes, the first 3 months are tough, but you can survive. I know mine are now 15 and coming to Gencon with me.

Yea, Daniel! Why no photos of your twins in an Ogre box?!? :)

Congrats, that's wonderful news. Best of wishes from another new dad: my firstborn is 15 months old - it's quite a fantastic ride!
