Have We Mentioned That The Box Is Big?

Just in case it wasn't clear, we thought we would post a handful of photos of the Ogre Designer's Edition box next to other games. And then we thought it would be fun to post photos of other games inside the Ogre box.

@David - Many people actually do change their addresses through the KS mail system; the process is exactly the same other than I have one less step to look up their email when they message kickstart@sjgames.com directly.

I don't see any reason to explain the actual process further in case anyone devious is looking for information on how to buck the system. I also think that while the possibility certainly exists, the probability is very low - you're talking committing a federal crime for a (albeit super awesome) board game. -- Brandon

I just hope its not possible for someone to scam/steal someone elses copy with that address change method you mentioned.

Id feel safer if you could only change the address through kickstarter etc

How about a photo of the original edition of Ogre in the Ogre Designer's Edition box?

@Robert Allen - Nah. Teasing would be something like me posting: "Robert, I'm sorry. We didn't mean to tease you at all. I promise not to post any photos from the factory when I'm there later this month."

@Matt - There are no cats in the warehouse due to the presence of the tentacle monster. Daniel and I have actually discussed sending the box home with a cat owning employee and getting cat photos but it hasn't happened yet (and may never happen. . . .)

@KevinR - I was hoping the angle on the shot with Broadsides in it would best convey a sense of depth. The box is 14.5cm deep, nearly half a foot!

@Casey - This was a random selection based on finding the largest boxed games in our archive.

Have y'all tried dumping a case (or four) of Battlefields/Reinforcement Pack in the box -- that may give a decent estimate of how many Pocket Ogres will fit.

    10. Scott Walker on July 18, 2013

Good Grief. It's huge. I think this is definitely the biggest single game box I've ever seen. I've got half the games used to compare with it. Not Space Hulk, though; that would be a nice collectible. I could see a really great Photoshop contest developing, trying to properly show the scale and perspective of Ogre....

The shot that is missing is showing that Ogre is 50%-100% deeper than the others as well. You might be able to fit four Space Hulk in an Ogre box.

What an odd selection of game boxes!

    16. Stephen Rochelle on July 18, 2013

@Matthew Hirsch: the limiting factor will probably be maps. That's 5 simultaneous games assuming you don't create any half-map scenarios. You could manage 5 Ogre-vs-units or Ogres-vs-Ogres games just fine with the included counter mix; Steve ran his 12-simultaneous-games thing at Origins using the counters from their (single) final proof copy.

@Xander - Easiest way for address changes is just email kickstart@sjgames.com with the new address (and the email address used to respond to the survey if sending from a different email address). ~Brandon

I do have a question... how many *simultaneous* games of Ogre could one play out of that box, given the multiple Ogres, units, maps, etc? I've only ordered one copy, but how many friends could I have playing at the same time?
