Around his work on the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game, Brandon Moore teamed with Steve and Gabby to finalize the cover for the upcoming Ogre Reinforcements expansion. We thought you guys might enjoy this first look at the cover, complete with title treatment and crop marks!

This new pack of Ogre units, scenarios, and rules is coming together great, and we're on track to ship this off to print early in October for release in 2017.

I am curious to know which new units will be included. I assume they will be ODE units in 6e livery?

Edit to previous post - "expansion really" -> "expansion isn't really"

@Wolf90: "...Reinforcements is an expansion to Ogre 6E, the upcoming release of Ogre in ODE scale. The "as-of-yet-unnamed" ODE expansion is the one promised in KS, and is in the pipeline as well."

So this expansion really likely to be of interest to backers here, we have to wait on ODE: The Unnamed Addon?

There is a little confusion out there re: upcoming expansions. We have two we're working on. Reinforcements is an expansion to Ogre 6E, the upcoming release of Ogre in ODE scale. The "as-of-yet-unnamed" ODE expansion is the one promised in KS, and is in the pipeline as well.

This is not a boxed expansion. This is a large blister with booklet (same physical footprint as the Ogre 6E rulebook), counter sheets, all blister-packed to a large card the same size as the Ogre 6E facing. This is an expansion and does not include a full rulebook; you will need Ogre 6E or the Ogre Designer's Edition.

Ahh, but how big will the box be compared to ODE?

And will it include a full 6th Ed rulebook with all the additions and errata, or just a rules supplement for the new units?

Looks great! Makes me wanna play! The OGREverse is really alive again.

It has to be an homage to the cover of the original GEV Microgame; just seconds before the trailing GEV is destroyed. The leading units are even tilted in the same manner.

Looking at the lake in the background, I think I can actually place where this picture takes place. It's two GEVs coming ashore into the same hex at the same time at the north edge of the lake on G-1 in a Breakthrough scenario. One of relatively few places in the standard scenarios where it can really make sense to stack. Needs a faint mushroom cloud a few miles back in the background though. :)

I keep expecting artwork on a cover that is an over the shoulder view of some scifi strategic holographic display that kind of looks like an OGRE hex map.

Hmmm, it seems like /somebody's/ less worried about a spillover disable than they probably should be. :)

But it's a beautiful piece of work. Significantly more shelf appeal, frankly, than the ODE and Ogre 6e boxes. Very well done!
