Sponsors Updated

Everyone who donated has been added to our website under the sponsor page on our website: http://www.thehauntedtheatre.org If you would like me to make a change, please let me know.

In other updates, our flyers are finished and just need to be printed and placed in frames, and both the tombstones and custom artwork are being worked on as we speak, so we will keep you updated on those as they get finished.

WE DID IT!!!

Thank you!

Thank you!

Thank you!

I just want to thank everyone who donated money to our little haunted house. This was a full on team effort from everyone. Some helped by donating money, while others helped just as much bugging the crap out of people until they donated money.

I appreciate each and every one of you.

We will begin working on the rewards, and I will continue to keep everyone up to date on not only the status of the rewards, but the status of the haunted house. I will post pictures, videos, etc, to show what everyone helped build.

And when/if you visit the Haunted Theatre come October, don't be surprised if you get a running hug tackle from some scary looking scareactors to show our appreciation.

Thank you.

Final Days

We are in the final days for our fundraising efforts, and we are still $40 short.

To me, that is amazing, as I am very confident that we will not only meet our goal, but exceed it.

One of our members recently went to one of the largest haunted house conventions in the United States, Haunt Con, and he came back with a shopping list for us on some great things that would really elevate our game.

Granted, we would have to run a fundraiser for the next 5 years to get everything he came back wanting, but he also came back with some great ideas.

This will be our best year yet, and it will be thanks to all our current...and FUTURE supporters!

Help Us Scare for Them!!!

Did you know that last year's operating budget for The Haunted Theatre was $150? That money was used to buy lights, make-up, props, and tools. We took that $150, added in over 20 awesome volunteers, and turned it into nearly $3000 for the Griffin Ballet Theatre and Studio D School of Dance.

This year, we want to do better. Our goal this year is $5000! That means getting over a thousand people to visit The Haunted Theatre over our four open nights in October. It's a huge goal for our little haunted house.

For us to reach our goal, we have to go even bigger and even better!

But we can't do it without your support!

Right now, we are trying to raise $400 or more through a Kickstarter campaign, and we are entering crunch time, because we only have 30 more days to collect money. It's a great program, the only problem is if we don't raise all of our goal, we will receive no money. You can help out by donating as little as a dollar, with no limit on the amount of money you can donate. Every little bit helps, and you'd be surprised at how much we can do with this small amount of money.

If you can't donate, at least help spread the word. Talk about it on Facebook, send Tweets out about it, e-mail your contacts, go on Youtube and brag about it, call your friends, send up smoke signals, anyway possible. We've got to get the message out about this fundraiser, so we will take any help possible in getting the word out. Every dime of this money will go to making The Haunted Theatre bigger and badder than we've done any of our previous years, and the better we are, the more people will come, and the more money we will be able to raise for the Griffin Ballet Theatre and Studio D, because remember, we are doing it all for them.

Another way you can help out is joining our Facebook Fan Page or following us on Twitter (@hauntedtheatre), and then spreading the word to get others to join in as well. Let's face it, social media is the easiest and fastest form of communication now a days, and the more of a presence we have on both Facebook and Twitter, the better off we are.

But no amount of advertisement campaign or billboard or sign or website will ever take away from the greatest form of advertisement there is.

YOU!!!

You talking to everyone about The Haunted Theatre. You talking about how good it is. You singing its praises. You just telling people how much fun you had at it, does more than anything we could ever do. We increase the amount of people that visit The Haunted Theatre each year, and that is in a larger part due to the fact that word of mouth for The Haunted Theatre spreads like wildfire in Griffin, but for us to reach our goal, we need to get the word out beyond Griffin's borders. Into places like Thomaston, McDonough, Fayetteville, Barnesville, Riverdale, Locust Grove, etc. These cities are so close to The Haunted Theatre, and it is well worth the drive to visit our town to come see The Haunted Theatre, while at the same time, helping a good cause.

So we ask you. We beg you. Please help in anyway possible. Help us raise money. Help us get the word out. Help us in anyway possible.

Thank you, and scare you in October!

Week 1 Update

We have officially been up and running for a week, and we couldn't have asked for a better first week. In just a day of being online, we received our first donation, and it got us a quarter of the way to our goal. With 47 days left until our deadline, we are on our way!

In other news, Friday I celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary. This doesn't have anything to do with this project, just sharing :)

This week, we will be debuting our new website for this year's theme, Dead Things. It will have the complete story along with all the information concerning this year's haunt. At the moment, we have a teaser image up along with a countdown, so if you want to check that out, it's over at our website http://www.thehauntedtheatre.org.

And just to show you some of the work that goes into turning a basement of a dance studio into Griffin's scariest haunted house, here are some of the behind the scenes photos from last year's work.
