Our first Kickstarter campaign helped launch Alchemy Pops as a small catering operation out of bakery kitchen rented at night. We've leveraged your support from 2 years ago into a thriving frozen treat business opening our first Pop Shop this fall! We are so thankful for our community of support and the many partners that have helped us get to this point! We can't wait to party with y'all in the new shop :)
With funds raised during this Kickstarter campaign, we'll buy:
- A delivery vehicle (more pops in more places!)
- Kitchen equipment (do you know how many sinks we have to buy?!)
- Blenders and knives (fruit ninja skills!)
- Pop shop build out (a kitchen of our very own!)
Since our last Kicksarter campaign, we have been busy in the pop kitchen and popping up all over DFW! From pool parties to weddings, backyard bashes to music festivals, we have enjoyed every moment of helping people celebrate, chill out and enjoy a refreshing treat! We have been so lucky be featured in publications large and small, including Fort Worth Texas Magazine and AAA Texas Journey. We are so honored to have been a 2016 finalist for the Small Business of the Year Award by the Fort Worth Chamber, as well as nominated again for 2017 (and we plan to win it this year!!)
We can't wait to serve you a pop in our new shop, and we can't thank you enough for helping us make it happen!
Risks and challenges
We have competitors just like any company does, but we embrace the power of community to support the local option -- and the one that's 100% woman-owned and founded by a TCU Alum!!
We have to work extra hard to keep our pops frozen when the weather gets so hot in Texas. We get creative with dry ice, cold plate carts, ice packs, and all kinds of coolers and containers. Our best friends are chest freezers.
We are a seasonal business and will be expanding to offer additional products in winter to keep our customers happy all year round.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
