Changing The Way Electric Guitars Are Meant To Be Played
Electric guitars can be a pain to set up, and with all of the equipment required, you are limited on where and when you can play.
With the need for cords, pedals, and power outlets, and amps stashed at your jam space -- you can’t easily pick up your electric guitar or bass and play immediately whenever you get inspired or want to mess around.
How It Works
Acoustic Freedom For Your Electric Guitar and Bass
Great Sound At Any Volume
Traditional amps don’t sound great at low volume. If you live close to others in an apartment, condo, semi, shared house, or dorm, then your practice hours can be restricted.
JamStack’s 10-watt speaker is designed to sound great at high AND low volume. You can sound as good practicing in the middle of the night at low volume as you would jamming alongside other instruments or busking on the street.
No Guitar? No Problem. The JamStack Also Works as a Premium Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Because we hit our goal so early, we've added Bluetooth pairing! Now your JamStack also works as an ultra premium Bluetooth speaker for sharing tunes wirelessly, wherever you are!
Please note that guitar effects still require your phone to be plugged in for ultra low latency.
What People Are Saying
Backing tracks, effects, and loops make practicing more fun!
Because of the signal management system, the JamStack really excels at allowing you to play with backing tracks or drum beats without fooling around with levels.
Traditional guitar amplifiers aren't designed to handle multiple frequencies at once and the backing track will drop out of the mix when you start to play -- but not with the JamStack.
We've carefully selected our drivers so that when you play it sounds like you're right inside the song, playing alongside your favorite musicians.
With fantastic apps like AmpliTube and AmpKit, you can bring a song right in off your smartphone or iPod touch, access practically any effect, and choose from dozens of amp models.
Because your phone is right there on your guitar body, setting up loops on the fly, performing sequined samples, recording and sharing music feels effortless.
You aren’t limited to your pedal or amp collection either and can recreate virtually any guitar sound out there.
Weighing under 2lbs, the JamStack can fit easily into most guitar or travel cases.

The History of JamStack
Hey thanks for reading! My name is Chris Prendergast and I am the Founder of JamStack.
I am a guitar player, an electrical engineer, and a tinkerer.
For years I was doing effects, loops and backing tracks with my computer and it was extremely annoying.
Amps suck at it because they can’t handle two inputs at once.
With computers you can do it, but it is a pain because you need a lot of equipment.
So I thought…
“Hey it wouldn't it be really cool if I could put a computer inside my guitar?”
Which made me think…
“Wait a minute, can’t I just use a smartphone?”
So I built a custom guitar.
I drilled a hole, put a speaker in it, stuck a smartphone mount to my guitar, and connected the speaker to my iPhone.
It was a fun project and made that one guitar very portable.
I showed a bunch of people at a family gathering and they were blown away.
I could walk around and play all of these cool effects and it sounded pretty good.
I showed it to all my musician friends but they already had their favorite guitars and didn’t want me drilling into them.
A lot of them said it would be better if there was something they could simply attach onto the guitars they had already.
Being an electrical engineer, I hacked together an incredibly ugly attachable version about a year ago.
You may have already “seen” it covered up in a sketchy cardboard box in one of our earlier promo videos.
I started showing that cardboard box version around and was getting even more positive feedback so we decided to get serious and bring JamStack to the world.
For the last 12 months, the JamStack has been my side gig, creating renderings, getting feedback, and iterating to the beautiful design you see today.
We partnered up with a local design firm to create a working prototype, built the JamStack team, and have been preparing for this Kickstarter launch ever since.
Developing the prototype prior to launch allowed us to create a proof-of-concept design, and really get a sense for it's beautiful, professional sound.

Why We Need Your Help:
Risks and challenges
We have made sure to get a fully functional prototype prior to this launch so we can properly anticipate any risks with fulfillment.
We have secured a manufacturer, have partnered with a world class industrial design firm, and know the process, tooling, and timelines needed in order to make this successful.
We've done our best to anticipate reliable shipping dates.
The only foreseeable risk is needing to release two different versions for Android and iOS based on future changes to mobile operating systems and hardware.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
