The King of Dark Humor has a brand new collection. Bizarre characters and despicable stories this time in full color.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
One of the risks here is working in color for the first time on a project this large. All of my work in Mad Magazine has been in color but the post production was handled by others. I will need to have constant communication with the printer and be vigilant to make sure that the final product looks as good as the originals.
The logistics will also be a challenge, I have already spoken to a local shipper to handle packing and getting the orders out on time once the printing is done, but again constant communication will be required.
And of course there is always the worry of what long time readers will think after seeing these characters in color for the first time. There is always the concern that diehard fans, who are used to seeing the intricate line work in black and white, will think it is diminished in some way with color. I think though that the addition of color will add enough punch and mood to the stories that the purists will accept it.
