About this project
Making a film is extremely difficult, especially during this economic downturn, but we believe that it is during these times that relevant stories need to be told. We reach out to you, friends, family, and colleagues for help.
Stuffer is a short film directed by Nathan Crooker, written by Jake Silbermann. The story follows Vasquez, a female officer returning home to her husband and daughter from the front lines of Afghanistan...with a secret. The secret is that Vasquez has been drawn into smuggling heroin for a local ex-military operative in order to save her family's home from foreclosure.
From the moment Vasquez first steps off the bus into her economically battered town, we learn that she is dealing with hard times as is everyone around her. Factories have been closed down, homes boarded up.
Upon arriving home, however, she learns that her husband, Ramon, was able to solve their financial problems himself. Ashamed of her secret, Vasquez deceives Ramon in the hopes of unloading the drugs with her contact, Haken and freeing herself of any further obligation.
When she finally meets Haken, an unhinged ex-Special Forces operative, Vasquez is faced with a hard choice in her attempt to free herself from this dangerous obligation.
Stuffer will be shot on location in Fitchburg Massachusetts for a total of 4days. The film will be captured on High Def using SAG or AFTRA actors.
Hey all, I am an actor based in New York that has appeared in GOSSIP GIRL, GUIDING LIGHT and has been a regular on AS THE WORLD TURNS since June 2007. I am very proud of my groundbreaking role on AS THE WORLD TURNS where I originated the part of Noah Mayer, one half of daytimes first gay male couple. I have also appeared in several short films including GOODNIGHT ELIZABETH and CHAIN.
Hello everyone, as I said before I am a commercial director that has worked with clients such as Miller Lite, Mini Cooper, Bud Light, Sea World, New Balance, and Volkswagen, just to name a few. The most recent short I directed was called PEACE OF MIND starring Matt Newton from "The Men Who Stare At Goats, Dahmer, and Ugly Betty" as well as Mizuo Peck from "Night At The Museum 1-2 and Scenes Of A crime". The film won the prestigious El Capitan Award at the Yosemite Film Festival and Matt Newton received a best Actor Award from The Philadelphia International Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and the Ann Arbor Film Festival.
