About this project
'25 Years' tells the story of Mark and Drew Anderson--step brothers who were always told they were the closest to each other than anyone else. After a devastating turn of events for Drew, he distances himself from family and friends in hopes to punish himself for all the hurt he caused the people he loved most. Years later on the eve of their parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary, Mark receives bad news himself and turns to the one person he needs to come to peace with, his brother Drew. Doing so, however brings back all the pain Drew has been trying in vain to forget. This story will take the viewer through the highs and lows of family, marriage, and love.
I plan on filming this movie in 8 weeks from September-November (Saturdays only. My estimated release will be the summer of 2013. I need additional funds for crew for production, post production needs such as (editing, sound) I am only $1,000 short of being able to start this film the right way. '25 Years' is an original idea, that is refreshing look at families we all can relate to. It is a labor of love told in a way that makes you feel for every character. To create a piece as powerful as '25 Years' deserves all the love and care I can muster, which is why I ask for your help. $1,000 currently stand in between my wife and I to produce this film. Please visit DerekLGray.com to watch the trailer for Pretty Brown Eyes, my previous effort. It premiered at the Landmark theater in baltimore, Maryland to a sold out crowd and will be screened July 27th 2012 at the Patterson theater in Baltimore.I produced that film on a shoe string budget. Imagined what could be done with an increased budget! I hope that you will see my vision and assist us in meeting our goal. Every bit helps!
