Artastic wants to help undiscovered artists meet new fans who’ll love their work.
Hi, my name is Hitomi, or Blizz-Mii. I’m organizing the Artastic art book.
Any artist knows that it's a long ride up the popularity ladder. A lot of artists remain pretty much undiscovered, despite being very talented. I wanted to try tackling that problem, so I came up with the idea for this art book.
It features two kinds of artists: those who have a lot of fans, and those who have the skills but haven’t gotten much exposure.
Popular artists help advertise, and lesser known artists receive greater exposure. Artastic showcases beautiful artwork from all of these talented folks.
Artists who already have a lot of fans have an asset: they can help market the book to people who might be interested. Each royalties artist gets 5% of the book's price, as incentive to join the project. Their help in advertising gives the lesser known artists exposure, and likely new fans. It’s a win-win deal. This is an experimental project to see if this arrangement works out.

*Possibly more artists, depending on funding and page space! (see FAQ)

(in no particular order)
We need your help to cover the manufacturing costs of the book.
Artastic is made possible by keeping the cost per book as low as possible, and that involves using a non-US manufacturer. Doing that requires a large order — the minimum quantity tends to be around 1000 units. That’s a lot of books! It’s around $2200 to print 1000 copies of the book, and around $300 to ship them. There’s an 8% fee for Kickstarter as well. All in all, it comes to around $3000, with some padding, to get the project going. If we can't get enough funding, the project ends. Please help us make this a reality!
Thank you so much for your support!

Risks and challenges
Coordination amongst twelve artists can be a bit of a challenge. I am taking extra precautions to recruit backup artists (email me if interested!), in case some cancel for one reason or another. How the books turn out from the manufacturers may also be variable. Checking quality will be key!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
