We made it!! CLUG is now available in 3 sizes to fit damn near any tire. A huge thanks to all our awesome backers for making this happen. We are amazed, humbled, and totally stoked to be able to make CLUGs for you all.
To say Thank You, and to make things simple, we are keeping the pledge level the same for all sizes of CLUG. So just pledge for as many as you want and you can decide what combination of sizes you'd like once the campaign is over.
Just be aware that the bigger the CLUG, the more the postage. That's one thing we can't control - sorry!

You won’t believe something so small will work so well, but it does! No winches, hooks or balancing acts, just a satisfying “clug” and you’re all set!
It helps you save space, keep your place tidy and display your ride proudly without damaging it or your walls.
And when you’re not using it, CLUG is just a small wall ornament, unobtrusive and out of the way.
CLUG will turn almost anywhere you can think of into somewhere your bike can live.
With any pledge over $5 you'll automatically get the CLUG digital file too. Because you may not have a 3D printer right now but you might just get one someday.
We designed CLUG to be a great fit with your bike tire. The first version of CLUG available through Kickstarter will fit standard road bike tires between 23 and 28mm.
We would love to be able to offer CLUG in a range of sizes to suit everyone's needs. We have designed and developed versions for mountain bike tires, and one that is especially for hybrid sizes and we are making these available as stretch goals if we are successfully funded.
We have our favourites, what are yours? Visit the CLUG website at www.getclug.com and choose the colors you’d like to see. We’ll start with 3 basic color options, but the more successful the campaign, the more colors we’ll be able to offer.
CLUG is made of 2 parts, the clipper and the gripper. Just pull them apart and you’re ready to mount it to your wall.
The clipper is screwed in place on your wall. And then the gripper is just snapped right into the clipper... Simple.
We made getting your CLUG in the right place really easy. The box is also your template to drill your holes. Just stick it on the wall, check that your bike lines up and drill away. The box will even catch your brick/plaster dust too.
Not your wall? Don’t have a drill? You can even use picture hanging strips to attach CLUG to your wall - since the force is transmitted through the wheels to the floor, something like a 3M command strip is all that’s needed to hold your CLUG in place.
We all cycle into the office but where to store them all became a problem, it really started to look a little messy.
When we looked a little further we saw the same thing elsewhere too...
We considered installing a winch system, or some clever hooks, but being designers and with our 3D printer so close to hand we thought we’d see what we could come up with to solve the problem for ourselves.
Holding the bike in roughly the position we wanted it to be in, it became fairly obvious that all that was needed to keep it there was a very small attachment to the wall so we set about defining exactly what that attachment would be. And the result is CLUG.
This is where we need you!
Our next step is to invest in injection molded tooling to produce these efficiently at a price everyone will smile about. We need your support and we need your orders, and if you like us enough to give us one or both of those, then we can make CLUGs a reality for everyone!
We’ll start printing the CLUG printed rewards right away so that they are ready to send out as soon as the campaign ends. We’ll use June to make any final refinements based on our guinea pigs’ reaction to their CLUG printed. Then we will order the molds for tooling and go into production with the CLUGs and packaging.
The first CLUGs will ship out mid September.

We love Kickstarter because it is giving us a way of getting these projects that were really just meant for us to the Kickstarter community, and the world.
We have been bringing our clients' concepts to market for over 20 years, so we know just what it takes to get things from an idea to a real and beautiful thing.
We think that giving people more access to usable bike storage is a small but important step in reducing the hurdles that stop everyone from ditching their cars in favour of bikes.

Risks and challenges
We are an experienced team of product designers so we are no strangers to designing for manufacture and getting things made. With such a simple design, this should be a no-brainer but even with something this simple there are things which can hold up the process.

Unfortunately, it does not fit all bike tires as we believe that compromises the design. CLUG currently fits 23mm - 28mm road bike tires. We have a version for mountain bike and kids' bikes currently going through testing. If we can get CLUG funded maybe we'll make the other versions a stretch goal ;)
The short answer to this question is, yes.
The truth is that there's more to it than that.
A 32mm tire can fit inside a CLUG. We aren't comfortable with the amount of stress that it puts CLUG under. We need to do more lifecycle testing on tires larger than 28mm. It would be a "use at your own risk" scenario to use CLUG with a 32mm tire.
EVERYONE who pledges $5 or more will be emailed the digital files that will allow them to print a CLUG of their very own on a 3D printer.
As soon as our campaign is over and Kickstarter releases our backer information to us. Your address and email remains secure until the end of the campaign. Give us a few days after the campaign to get everything sorted out, and we will email you the file.
CLUG does NOT hang your bike from a wall or ceiling. CLUG requires one or two tires on the ground at all time.
