The second limited set of little pins is here! Help me bring them to life!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The delivery is actually January 2017! All the tiers are backed, so I can't edit them, but please note that these will be delivered to you in January!
Each pin will be*:
♦ 1.25in (31.75mm)
♦ hard enamel with gold plating
♦ with a rubber clutch
♦ placed on a unique double sided backing card designed to look like an omamori, a traditional good luck charm.
*Tiny Daruma is .6" (15mm), and has black nickel plating.
These are ancient, traditional toys in the shape of a dog, usually made out of a type of paper mache. Some believe they bring good luck! (it's okay if you thought it was a cat. They're kind of ambiguous looking like that.) (oni/red inu unlocked and available as a pin choice!)
KITSUNE (fox) MASK
A popular mask worn during festivals, although its original roots are ingrained deeply in Japan's Shinto beliefs and folklore. Kitsune can be mysterious and benevolent, but also mischievous and even malicious, so handle these guys with care! (black mask unlocked and available as a pin choice!)
TOUROU NAGASHI LANTERN
Tourou Nagashi is a ceremony held during the Obon Festival season where a paper lantern is floated down a river - the lantern is to help guide the souls of departed loved ones and ancestors back to the afterlife.
These are fish-shaped, pancake-like cakes usually filled with red azuki bean paste, and are popular treats year round (but also a must to pick up during a festival!).
Daruma are special good luck dolls, and when you are given one, you fill in one eye with a goal or wish in mind. When fulfilled, you draw in the other! He is super small, super portable, and super eager to wish you luck in your day to day life! (He is 0.6", not 1.25"; black nickel instead of gold)
UNLOCKED - $2,500.00 - Black Kitsune Mask - The brother companion of the white kitsune mask! They long to be together, so let's try to bring them home!
UNLOCKED - $3,000.00 - Taiyaki - These are fish-shaped, pancake-like cakes usually filled with red azuki bean paste, and are popular treats year round (but also a must to pick up during a festival!).
UNLOCKED - $4,200.00 - Inu Hariko "Oni" color variant - This guy is feisty! He foregoes tradition and probably bites people's ankles.
UNLOCKED - $4,500.00 - Wonky Daruma - He will be 15mm, black nickel plated. He is super small, super portable, and super eager to wish you luck in your day to day life!
SURPRISE LAST-MINUTE GIFT: All backers pledging for pins will recieve a 4x2" vinyl sticker of a pair of kitsune!
Also available are semi-random 4x6" sketches. They are semi-random because I will be drawing them after sending out the backer surveys after funding -- and I may try to personalize the drawing to your tastes! (Not guaranteed, but I will try!)
Above are a couple samples of what the sketches may look like, from the last kickstarter. You might get pen, pencil, marker; it's a mystery! For more of my work to get an idea, you can visit: ohnooo.net

COSTS: The goal is set to be entirely put towards the production and delivery of the pins. It accounts for the manufacturing of the pins, fees, packaging of the pins themselves and of parcels, and shipping to backers. There's a small buffer room set aside for shipping fluctuation, such as a higher than anticipated amount of international shipping.
If you'd like more pins than whats offered in the rewards, please let me know and I'll create a tier with the quantity you're interested in. Everyone will get a chance to pick their pins at the end in the backer surveys.
Risks and challenges
The designs have been submitted for visual proofs with approved final drafts ready to go (changes, if any, will be minor). I will be going with a different manufacturer this time so delivery should be quicker than the previous campaign.
The sketches will be started at the end of funding, so they will be ready by the time the pins arrive to me.
Backers will be notified ASAP if there are any delays that do pop up, either with manufacturing, shipping, or other unforeseen problems.
Please understand I cannot be held responsible for any packages claimed as lost when they are marked as "delivered" in tracking.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
