About this project
One Night Only – A Reunion Show with Stavesacre, Living Sacrifice, Puller, Ghoti Hook and Everdown. Saturday April 13th 2013 - Dallas, Texas.
There will be downloads. There will be shirts. There will be horsing around. There will even be some good ol’ fashioned Rock n’ Roll. (Well, you know what we mean.)
So yeah: It’s really happening – with your help. We plan to record and film the show – and to make both recordings available for download within a few weeks of completion. Your funding is your ticket to the show in whichever way you can attend. Obviously… WE WANT YOU THERE (it’s a reunion!) but we understand that some will simply not be able to make it. We believe this project enables us to satisfy even those who won’t be able to come along.
Thing is, the bands kind of need to be there. This isn’t about money, it’s about getting friends together. There are costs involved with travel, hotels, production and promotion. (Some things never change!) The audio and video will require engineering and editing. Not everyone can travel in Mark’s private jet. (No, Mark does not have a private jet.) People need to eat, sleep and shower in peace. We believe this project provides enough options for backers to get involved and make One Night Only a reality! So please, join in! Spread the word. Take a vacation and plan a road trip. We would LOVE to see you there. And from all the bands: Thanks. Thank you all, so very much. Thanks for checking out our Kickstarter, thanks for supporting all these years and thanks for remembering. Hope we see you there!
Risks and challenges
Anytime you organize an event with 25 people and multiple bands, it’s always a challenge. We’ve reserved the Door in Dallas for April 2013, but all the bands have signed on. At this point, it’s all about getting our project backed so we can get to work re-learning set lists! Flights and travel, hotels, production and promotion – the cost of the event will be very real, which is why these things don’t happen that often! Please lend a hand so we can see this through.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
I have had a lot of people ask me about this, with Kickstarter they authorize your card for the amount of the pledge you sign up to back. If we reach out goal then they run the cards and pay us the money for the event. If we don't hit our goal your authorized amount falls off and no money exchanges hands.
There is a setting where you can switch pledges, so for example if you picked a reward for one ticket but decided you need two tickets, you can switch to the bigger reward that offers two tickets.
