Yes, this device (called PAM) will create your own Wi-Fi Local Area Network which you can connect to and share files wirelessly with people around you when you don’t have Internet connectivity (e.g. camping, international travel, at the beach, on a train, etc. -- anywhere you may not even have cell phone signal or simply want to save data and roaming charges). You can also use this Local Area Network to send/backup files (pictures, videos, etc.) to the PAM device itself as a media storage vault and battery backup for your phone/PC/tablets.
This personal Wi-Fi Local Area Network is not connected to the Internet, so you will not be able to send emails, search on Google, or use Alexa while you are travelling or camping until you have an Internet Wi-Fi connection or a cellular data signal.
However, once you are back at home, you enable your LTE phone hotspot, or when you are in any regular Wi-Fi zone with free Internet access (like Starbucks, etc.), PAM automatically backs-up those files to the cloud, so you never lose a file or forget to backup. (We also provide an additional 1 Terabyte of personal cloud storage with the reward).
