About this project
We want to produce a range of 28mm (1/56th scale) Weird WWII Mech walkers.
What is a Panzer Mech? Its a walking tank, plain and simple, and we draw our influences on the design from WWII tanks.
A little alternative WWII history. The Jotun is a new type of Mech walker built by the Germans in an alternative SciFi WWII. Armed with the 88mm KwkM46 Schwer Kanon and a 60mm Schwer Granatenwerfer (grenade launcher). Crewed by a single pilot the Jotun is capable of taking on the heaviest of allied tanks.
This is a 3D Render, the first draught, the model has changed substantially. We found it needed a longer chassis, a sloped armoured front, and headlight clusters together with more armour plates on the shoulders and elbows.
About the kit
We took our design cues for the Jotun from famous WWII German tank designs like the Tiger tank and Panther tank. You will recognize a lot of the small details on our model from the Tiger and Panther, such as the exhausts and the cupola.
The Jotun master model is 100% sculpted. This is our first foray into 3D printing and we have been very impressed with the 3D print quality. The print was made on a Objet printer at a very high resolution. The whole thing goes together beautifully and the detail on the model is crisp.
This Kit will be cast in resin with any small parts being cast in white metal.

When can I get the Jotun?
All the initial 3D print work has been completed and the prototype has been given the green light by our resin casters. Therefore the first production run will commence early March 2017. Additional Objectives, Free Stretch Goal Miniatures and add on's will take longer.
On completion of the Kickstarter campaign, we will create a Backer Only website where we will add all the models as they become available. As soon as they are available you can select them.
We want to make more cool weird WWII miniatures. We have plans for more 3D mechs, plus new weapons and warriors if the campaign goes beyond it's initial funding.
Unique Pledge This is a one off Pledge Level that includes a framed original signed concept design by Andy Cooper plus the finished art work for the Jotun. This level also includes a Commander Level Pledge - 3x Mechs + 3x exclusive Mech Pilots on foot. Plus all Free Stretch Goals we unlock.
A quick explanation:-
The Objective is the next part of the project we want to undertake.
The Free Stretch Goal is the miniatures that will be added to Mech Commander pledge level when we fund our Objective.
Add-ons - These are new 28mm miniatures that can be added to your pledge by increasing your pledge total by the appropriate amount listed.
Back Catalogue Unlocks - These are products from our existing 28mm Weird WWII range. Once unlocked simply add these to your pledge total for the amount listed.
Based on past experience, we will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes based on the actual costs incurred to ship. This is so we can be fair to all our backers as shipping is rarely one size fits all. We will collect this via our 'backer only' website whilst managing your pledge and after the Kickstarter campaign.
Risks and challenges
This is a large creative project, and we have allowed what we consider to be a reasonable timeframe to bring the project to fruition, but slight delays are always possible. Our standards are high on quality. We have managed three very successful Kickstarter campaigns and all backer rewards have been fulfilled on these. Our backers have been very happy with both our management of the project and also their quality rewards. (Check out the Comments section and Updates on our past three projects - Empire of the Dead - Requiem, War & Empire and War & Empire II, Legions of Rome for feedback).
We understand that backers may wish to receive parts of the project as they become available. We will add to the Backer only website any Mech and miniatures that become available as the project progresses. We will keep our supporters fully informed via regular updates of the status of miniatures, mechs, or vehicles. So, if you wish, you will be able to take the option to have products delivered as they become available, shipping will be charged for each delivery. Or you can choose to wait until everything is available and choose and receive your rewards in one shipment, thus incurring only one shipping fee.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
