About this project
’Requiem’’ is the second part of our tabletop skirmish game Empire of the Dead.
If we manage to reach our goals we will be able to expand on the original game by adding over 70 new charismatic models. We also want to start a new range of ingenious Steampunk Machines and Victorian Carriages to populate the streets of our darkly Gothic Victorian Empire.
We are West Wind Productions. We are a small British company, specialising in tabletop miniature games. Currently there are six of us Andy Cooper sculptor, Wendy Cooper who runs the business, Andrew Rawling designer of machines, Lee who runs despatch, Martin, Chris and Dave who make the miniatures.
We love the combination of Victorian Sci-Fi (Steampunk) and Gothic Horror.
What we want to do next is complete the second part of Empire of the Dead . We call it EotD Requiem, its an ambitious range of new miniatures which will expand EotD. Requiem introduces a whole host of new characters from Victorian fiction.
Requiem is a massive project! There's maybe three times as much design content compared to the original Empire of the Dead project.
Right now we have around 40% of the range sculpted. With your help we can complete the new character models and put the whole range in to production
If we are successful in reaching our goals, this Kickstarter will enable us to out-source the whole production tooling-up process and free up Andy (/the Andy's) to crack on with more sculpting and model making.
Everyone who takes part will receive a model of Nadezhda Durova,Vampire slayer.
Plus keep an eye out for our stretch goals.
You can choose your own Rewards from the Kickstarter Offer, up to the level you have pledged at.
As an additional bonus you can add to your pledge from our Optional Extras.
As a Backer you will receive a substantial discount on the RRP.
Risks and challenges
We make everything in house, we sculpt the miniatures, we cast the miniatures and then dispatch them. The company we have in mind to make our new production moulds are very reliable and we have used them before for smaller projects. So problems like masters breaking in the mould are easily fixed and quality control is all in house. I don't forsee any delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

All Pledges ship free to UK/EU, USA and CANADA.
Rest of the World Shipping, ie. Australia and New Zealand, etc:-
For further clarification on Rest of the World Shipping costs, please add 10% extra to your final pledge value. So for instance, if you Pledge at Requiem 23, which has a cost of £75.00, please add £7.50 to the Pledged amount.Total Pledged would be £82.50.
Rest of the World Shipping is capped at £20.00.So if you order Megalomanic or above, ie., The Complete Collector, the shipping is £20.00.If you Pledge at the lower levels and then add any of the Optional Extras as they are Unlocked and become available, please add 10% shipping to the total Pledge Value.Shipping is again capped at £20.00.
We recommend you calculate and add correct shipping as you progress through the Kickstarter and if you add more items.Alternatively, please check and send us a message if you would like clarification on the amount of shipping to add, either throughout or towards the end of the Kickstarter, before it finishes.
Full Colour Hard Backed Rulebook
Please note also, when adding the Full Colour Hard Backed Rulebook from the Optional Extras to a Pledge, please add an additional £4.00 to the shipping total for Rest of the World. So for clarification, if you were to Pledge at Requiem 23 for £75.00 and add the Hard Backed Empire of the Dead Rulebook for an additional £30.00, this would bring the total to £105.Then apply 10% shipping of £10.50 = £115.50 and then add a further £4.00 shipping to your total. The amount payable would be £119.50 in total.
Just go back into your original pledge by clicking on the green manage your pledge button at the top of the fromt page and just up your pledge by the required amount for any of the optional extras. So if you wish to add say a Hansom cab, just up your current pledge total by £20. If you are in UK, EU, USA and Canada, shipping is free. RoW add 10% to the total pledge value. At the end of the KS we will send you a survey and on that you will be able to notify us of the extras you have added to your pledge. It is useful to use the Pledge Calculator (red button on the front page) to keep a note of what you have pledged and the optional extras you may have added. The pledge calculator is also a great tool as it shows the points value of each of the Requiem miniatures (down the right hand side on the spreadsheet) and it counts down when you select a miniature and keeps a running total of what points you have used and have left.
How to use the Pledge Calculator Spreadsheet:-
1.Click on red pledge calculator button to access the spreadsheet on the front page of the KS.
2.Click to Download on Dropbox, you dont need a Dropbox account to do this.
3. Wait a few seconds and at the bottom of the screen you will see an option to open, so click on that and it will open the spreadsheet.
4. You are now ready to type into the calculator. Enter a Number 1 in the yellow column opposite the pledge you have chosen and the spreadsheet will automatically tell you how many points you have to spend and the cost of the pledge. As you add in any optional extras or spend any points from the Requiem list of miniatures on the far right hand side of the spreadsheet, the calculator will add money and/or count down the points to calculate this for you.
4. You can save the spreadsheet onto your machine if you wish by saving, top left of the screen.
Hope this helps to keep track of your wish list!
