And then part 2 after technical issues

If you miss the livestream, you can watch it later using the same URL.

Read on for the results of our honey piece vote, the resulting re-vote (your help is needed!), and a brief note on the solo cards we just unlocked!

Honey Pieces

Thanks to all 263 backers who voted in the last 2 days about what we should do with the honey pieces. We really appreciate your comments and ideas!

The vote was so close (59% for wood, 41% for plastic) that it became clear to us that no matter how we proceed, some of you may be disappointed. For example, some of you asked for silk screen printing or engraving to add detail to the wood piece (both of which would make honey stand out awkwardly from the rest of the wood pieces) or a custom plastic shape (very pricey).

After lots of internal discussion and all factors considered, we hope you will respect our decision on how to proceed. We decided on 2 next steps:

1) Determine the best shape for the wood piece, according to what our backers want. See vote #2 below.

2) Offer the plastic cubes as a $2 add-on to be shipped with your game to those who would prefer yellow translucent cubes instead. Simply increase your pledge by $2 if you would like those.

Vote #2

For the honey wood pieces that will be included in the game box, we came up with the 5 best options we could think of for a single color wood piece.

Note: the icon on the left is used in the game to represent honey.

Which of the following wood shapes would you prefer for honey?

Rebellion Solo Cards

Great job on unlocking the 2 additional solo cards! One of the great things about our solo system is the way the AI will change tactics during play between 3 key ambitions: Incite Rebellion, Establish Control, and Gather Support.

Each solo card has a line of play for each ambition – so adding two cards is actually adding 6 new tactics for the AI to try!

The Rebellion solo cards slide from the bottom of the pile, one row at a time.

I was surprised how well it turned out. More good luck than good management on my part. ; )

@Matthew: Thanks for creating the 3D file - that's really cool! We may have to 3D print some to try it out ourselves. :)

Meh .. made an .STL file to 3D print a honey piece the shape of the wood piece using translucent yellow filament. If the game doesn't come with the best option, do it yourself I say. =)

It makes zero difference either way. It's just a playing piece. Don't sweat it.

I will happily add 2 for the plastic cubes. Definitely a compromise I can live with being I was in the minority.

The shape of the token should resemble the resource icon as much as possible.
