Tragically, on August 11th 1996, at the Hells Angel’s Bulldog Bash, Eddie had a horrific crash leaving him unconscious and close to the brink of death. Doctors battled to save him after he flat-lined twice but then he slipped into a deep coma. In truth the Doctors didn’t know when or whether he would ever come around.
The documentary is an awe Inspiring insight into the man that became a legend and his struggles to overcome his horrendous brain injuries to hopefully and eventually one day, walk again.
10 years in the making, we are releasing this next year for the 20th anniversary of the Great Wall of China jump. Ray Winstone is kindly providing the voice over for the documentary.
Eddie Kidd & Nick Kennedy would like to wish you well and thank you for joining us on this page and apologise for the time it has taken to get this movie off the ground....we are getting closer and with your help we should be able to raise all the money required to complete it. Our aim is to release the film in the autumn of 2013. Help us spread the word and if you know of anyone who would like to help raise funds for the film please direct them here!

great relief that his mental faculties were intact and the Eddie of old was still there, but the catalogue of life-threatening injuries meant he was crippled, thus beginning Eddie’s biggest fight of all: to walk again.
of a man who lived a larger-than-life existence in the global public eye.
White Men Can Jump! will look behind the myth of Eddie Kidd and reveal a man, living alone in a council house in Peacehaven, still fighting, still showing the guts that made him a legend. The film will reveal the dramatic juxtaposition of a man who seemed to have wings and could fly, to the same man now struggling to walk. The lasting impression from this unique time capsule of a life truly lived will be one of the triumphs of the human spirit over all obstacles.
Crowds of supporters went wild as a beaming Eddie walked the last steps on

The Eddie Kidd Foundation.
Eddie who suffered serious brain injuries in a crash at a motorcycle rally in 1996, became an OBE. He was recognised for his services to charitable giving.
White Men Can Jump! will be a definitive film about Eddie’s life and Nick felt it was the one way that he could help his dear friend to try and get back on his feet and because Eddie is unable to earn any money, with the anticipated success of this documentary, the rewards would give Eddie the independence and the daily therapy he so desperately needs.
We now need your help. If you are new to Kickstarter this is how it works. Have a look at the various gift packages on the panel on the right and choose whichever one that most suits you and you can afford.
The money raised on Kickstarter will fund the additional filming and editing needed to finish the film.
For your kind involvement, your contributions will be rewarded with limited edition and unique collectable gifts.
To distribute the completed film as widely as possible internationally, we will need to utilise as much of your kind donation in the making of the film. We hope that the rewards are attractive enough for you to make your contribution.
If you truly believe that you can help, then have a look at one of the gift packages on and please tell as many people as possible about the campaign and urge them join the kickstarter page and donate.
The campaign runs for 35 days so spread the word and follow us on Facebook & Twitter and share this link.

Risks and challenges
It is widely known that making films in particular is high risk and can often take years to make. If there was a simple formula that was secure with guranteed returns, then everybody would be doing it.
As film makers, we understand the risks and challenges and are prepared to put literally thousands of hours into conceiving and writing the story and getting enormous amount of information required to attract cast & crew and investors alike and more often unpaid but that what makes a film maker a film maker..... determination, professionalism, endurance and more determination.
Risks are there for all involved but it is our job to minimise them as much as possible to make the project as viable as possible...I hope we have achieved that.
We see that the main risk for the project is how widely the film will get distributed and ultimately how successful it will be at the box office...nobody knows the answer to that in advance, however, we can guarantee that with the production budget raised, the film will be completed and our team will endeavour to get the best distributor possible so to maximise its potential. The film will marketed around the world and in this digital age we will utilise all mediums.available.
The key challenge in the past was raising money in a diffcult financial climate. We have received such a great response and support from the industry for the story and all contributors are on stand by. Once we have secured the funds, we can go straight into production.
We received strong indications that broadcasters will 'pick it up' once the film is ready for market. The Challenge now is to reach our target over the next month. This will secure the future for the project.
Despite trying to source funds from the usual avenues available to film makers, we feel going direct to the public platforms like Kickstarter is the best way to achieving our goal. Often enough investors fuss over sometimes unimportant issues which delays a project. We feel confident that in this instance, Eddie's fans and friends will support this project and we believe the general public are more in tune today when they see a great story, invention or business and make the right decision to invest in it or not.
We know times are hard but film and television programmes are made each week, each month and throughout the year.. Some slip through the net, however, this film shouldn't be one of them. With Ray Winstone and a whole host of celebrities, friends & family guiding us through the story culminating with incredible stunts and unseen footage, the story of Eddie Kidd's life is long overdue and millions of fans from around the world are waiting in anticipation for the premiere of White Men Can Jump.
We believe the risk is fairly minimal, however, but there is no guarantee we can achieve all our goals but we need to finish the film so it can be the best it can be so in turn further minimise the risk and maximise its potential.
Filming of key interviews, family and friends are required along with archive footage of historical events and news items about his jumps. In addition, we are planning to visit the set of the next James Bond movie with Eddie to meet some old friends as he was double to some of the previous James Bonds. And then finally, we will need to put it altogether.
We hope you understand and appreciate the risks and the challenges ahead. If you have any questions or require additional information, please don't hesitate to contact us.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
