Players will take on the role of an Alchemist who has volunteered to save Alkemia by attempting to synthesize alchemy’s ultimate mystery, the Crest of Creation, and thereby become the next Grand Alchemist. Legends say that the Crest will only reveal itself to Alchemists wise enough to uncover one of its lost recipes and who are talented enough to break the seals on objects of myth, known as Artifacts. Do you have what it takes to be worthy of the Crest of Creation? Be prepared, for Destiny’s recipe calls for you.

Want to travel the Foraging Fields in style? Why wouldn't you!? Grab the game and pick up 6 custom-made character pieces. Comes with the Crest Seekers reward and all unlocked stretch goals.
These pieces are still being designed, but we believe we have the form and general look we want now. Each character piece is made entirely of plexiglass. Each piece is customized to exemplify the traits of each character. This is done primarily through the color of the piece, the symbol carved out of the top, and the etched seal design on top of each base. For example, as seen below, we have prototypes of the pieces for our Fire character, Kinn, and Earth character, Reena. Kinn's piece will be a bright red, with a flame carved out of the top, and an etching of his bar's logo: the Crowned Phoenix. Reena's piece will be a deep green, with a leaf carved out of the top, and an etching of her biggest hobby: sewing (seen with a wheel, needle, and thread).
Show the Seedbourne Beast you mean business with your very own Seedbourne Beast tile draw bag. Grab the game and this limited edition bag. Comes with the Adventuring Alchemist reward and all unlocked stretch goals.
These bags are being designed by Tabletop Crafts. The sample shown in the banner and below is what backers will receive, except the colors will be more black and red.
To help peak your interest, here are some small samples. More clips will be released once this goal is unlocked.
Alkemia: Destiny's Recipe has been on a long journey, spanning multiple states and conventions, and even a previous Kickstarter attempt. As of this Kickstarter re-launch, all game play and rules/mechanics are finished, all components are designed, and 90% of the art is completed. Since the last Kickstarter attempt, we have focused on making the game more accessible to players and have streamlined a lot of it. We went from play testers using phrases like "analysis paralysis" and "what a long game" to "a great amount of options" and "I want to play again!" We're very excited to be bringing you this final form of our work, and we believe that you'll enjoy it as much as we do.
We decided to relaunch Alkemia on Kickstarter for several reasons, but perhaps the most important one to us was to build a community around our game. Board gaming is one of the few avenues of gaming where social connections between players and between players and the game really matter, and we wanted to make sure that Alkemia's social community was off to a good start.
After the campaign, once we receive all the remaining art, we will finalize all of our components and place our order with our manufacturer. Please be aware that the final look of some of these components may change between now and when we place the order, but the mechanics and overall style will not change.
During the production time, we will be setting up our shipping methods, which may be handled by a 3rd party fulfillment company or us. Either way, we'll work hard to deliver all your goodies in a timely manner. Our friends making the character pieces and tile bags will also be hard at work creating your rewards. We will maintain open and frequent communication with everyone about the state of the project as it progresses. We're very excited to be so close to delivering this game to backers, like you, who have shown your support. This has been a dream come to true to us in so many ways, and we're happy to have you along to share in our journey!

Gameplay review from Mike Kanarek of Aviary Games (Creator of the game 'Alchemy'):
"Alkemia was a gorgeous game that was quick to pick up and gave me a lot to do as the game progressed. The game was unique in that as the game progressed, the feel of play changed rapidly based on the strategy I was pursuing on the different things that other players had achieved. It is a well-balanced game that is simple enough for newer gamers with enough depth to keep me entertained. A very strong first offering from KinSoul Studio and an obvious labor of love that people should check out - it is the second best game about alchemy that I've played!".
Gameplay review from Danny Morris of Retro Millennia:
"Alkemia is a game unlike any other i've ever played. It immerses you in an ever changing world, where the odds can flip in an instant. This game presents resource management in a new light allowing for the most unique interactions with both the players, and the world itself".
Written Preview from Dad's Gaming Addiction:
"Overall, “Alkemia: Destiny’s Recipe” is a pretty neat game."... "I was drawn to the crafting element this game offers and as an added bonus, crafting items can be done in a number of different ways. Since you don’t know what you’ll need to make Crest recipes right off the bat, players may opt to craft what they can as quickly as possible while others might opt to hold onto cards that might help them in the future whilst preventing others from seeing what they’re up to."

Risks and challenges
Art: Card art is 90% done and will be completed in the next few weeks. We don't expect any issues with this, but we're aware that sometimes things happen. We will be very watchful of this, and if it looks like we're falling behind we'll do what we must to get things finished in time.
Shipping from manufacturer: Shipping from the manufacturer presents a set of risks that include quality control, communication, and timeliness. While we are doing everything possible to build rapport and effectively convey our project needs, troubleshooting may be necessary that will delay the projected time of our project delivery. Currently, we are on track to receive a near-finished prototype copy directly from our manufacturer to address any quality issues.
Fulfillment: At this point, we have a quotes prepared from a few fulfillment companies, as well as prices obtained from USPS at the start of our campaign to address the shipping the needs of the project. Depending on the outcome of our project, we will choose the best option to accommodate our backer base.
Additional Products: We're working with some other companies and team members to bring you the extras we're offering. If they experience any delays or other issues, delivery of those rewards may be affected. If the delays become too much, we'll make sure those backers get everything else in the meantime.
With everything mentioned here, and more, we'll be sure to keep everyone as up to date on the process as possible. This is our first time producing a game, but we're confident that we're prepared to deliver this game. We're doing our best to plan ahead and minimize the chances of anything delaying our backers from getting their rewards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
