1. Who We Are
Our first year as a band has been incredible. We’ve been writing music and playing shows, traveling with our music, and enjoying creating meaningful relationships with people all along the way!
Our goal as a band is to connect with people on a personal level. We have had the opportunity to play many shows over the past year, and—without fail—we’ve always met incredible people, and have had the opportunity to have an impact on peoples’ lives.
Often, the people we meet never would have known us if it hadn't been for our music! We figured that we could use that platform for God. We’ve always believed that if we do not make connections with people to spread Christ’s love, then everything we do as a band is wasted.
Through the way God has orchestrated our efforts into something truly meaningful so far, we believe that this band is exactly what He wants us to be doing.
2. What We’re Doing
We are recording and producing our debut EP, “Chimera,” in the spring of 2018, and then touring with our original music a few months later in the summer!
Funds will go toward:
- Studio Recording Time
- Professional Mixing and Mastering of the songs
- Band Merchandise
- Photography and Videography of the Tour
Your pledge will create something beyond what our efforts alone could accomplish! You’ll get an inside look at our process (we’ll be updating you on our progress throughout the project), and you’ll get personalized rewards for your contribution.
3. Why We Play Music
We hope to influence people by helping them see the world in a different light through our music.
We titled the EP “Chimera” because of the strong imagery it carries. Originally a mythological Greek monster, Webster’s definitions we liked the most were “an imaginary monster compounded of incongruous parts” and “an unrealizable dream.”
It sounds abstract (and maybe a little strange), but imaginary monsters that don't make sense and unattainable dreams are common occurrences in life, and thus are common themes in our music. We aim to start conversations that are out-of-the-norm.
We’re incredibly excited to connect with you, and we hope you help us reach more people with your pledge!
Risks and challenges
Being an independent band is challenging; we are very limited in our resources and time. It takes a lot of time and research to be frugal while still producing a professional result.
With your help, we know we can create something that we will all be proud to give to you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
