Why We're Making This:
This film will be the world's introduction to Diabetic Alert Dogs and how they are being used to treat Type 1 Diabetes. We want this film to be an accurate and realistic portrayal of life with Type 1 Diabetes, as well as life improvement through service dogs.
The relationship between Luke and Jedi is inspiring, and raises awareness about an issue that certainly needs attention. This family has a unique story that needs to be shared with the world, and we hope that you will be a part of this journey.
We can't finish this film without you!
We have been with Luke and Jedi to a couple events around Los Angeles, and have captured some great B-roll, but we need your help to get the rest of this film made and to dive deeper into this story!
What's in it for you?
GREAT question. We are looking for all types of support. If you are unable to donate money, we would appreciate you sharing this link, as well as our YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri7pQ00MiSM

What's this Kickstarter thing?
Kickstarter is a global crowdfunding platform, where people like us can reach out to people like you to help us share this incredible story.
Who are we?
We are LemonTree Pictures - Kara Johnson and Carla Romo. We met while working for the same production company in Los Angeles in 2013. Both of us have family members and friends with Type 1 Diabetes, which is one of the main reasons we were drawn to this unique story. We truly care about this topic and want it to reach as wide an audience as possible.
Thanks for your support!

Risks and challenges
It's not easy to fund a film. And we know that. But we believe in this story - so much so that we are taking time out of our professional lives to complete this film.
We're planning on having lots of people appear in this film. Lots of different kinds of people. Doctors, dog owners, children - this will involve a lot of paperwork and following details closely.
If unexpected costs and problems do come our way, which they usually do in most productions, we will solve them to the best of our ability. We are problem-solvers. We are go-getters. We are storytellers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
