We hit our initial target! Next up: stretch goal...
If we get funding up to $1000, I will commit to continuing Double-up podcasts through the end of December. That means podcasts on Sunday *and* on Thursday!
Check out the podcast here: http://artmusictech.libsyn.com/
What started out as a funny idea ("Maybe we should do a podcast about Max, a visual programming tool. Bwa-ha-ha!!!") turned into something much different - an oral history of the way we make our music and our art. Featuring interviews with amazing people like Morton Subotnick, Pauline Oliveros, Richard Devine and Tom Oberheim, the Art + Music + Technology podcast has become the gold standard for hearing the stories of the people that create and extend the world of electronic media.
In our desire to constantly improve the podcast, it's time for us to update some of our equipment. In an earlier Kickstarter, the listeners helped us get a portable (and backup-capable) recorder; a Zoom H2n and accessories now graces the podcast's gear locker. But we need more! We want to get a good mic (Shure SM-7b), a nice preamp/compressor (choice depends on support level we reach...), better cabling and a boom stand.
Risks and challenges
The podcasts will continue - even if we don't reach this goal. However, the quality of the recording is dependent, to a certain extent, on the gear we are able to use. Please help us up our game!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
