An improved cleaning kit case for sportsmen and professional use.
Welcome, thanks for taking a look at our page.
This is the first (but hopefully not last) Kickstarter for MS Clean LLC.
We are trying to bring a new case to store cleaning supplies used by our military and law enforcement personnel as well as competitive and recreational sportsmen (sportswomen too - sportspeople just sounds stupid).
This brings us to our product - MS Clean: The Magazine Shaped Cleaning Kit.
This uniquely designed case solves a major equipment problem our soldiers and Marines have encountered over the past decade - a place to store vital and potentially life saving items used to maintain their rifle. Before they were able to store in their standard buttstock. Now that their equipment has changed, that storage is becoming less of an option.
This case will fit into any pouch/carrier/bag/pocket which fits a soldier's standard magazine.
Dies are expensive. Really expensive. We almost didn't think we could do this at all when we found out how much one set of dies cost. Think of how much a new, higher, lower-end car costs. That is how much the dies cost. And they are only about the size of a shoe box. Not even a large basketball sneaker type shoe box. A lady's saddles size shoe box. For the price of a car!!! But then we came across Kickstarter, and suddenly we thought this can be done.
We have several generation of functioning prototypes. We have some more improvements we will make before the dies are cast. We have been testing it out over the past year, and believe in the concept and the future viability in the market.
The bulk of the money will go towards getting the final design for the case ready, purchasing the tooling and dies, and completing the first production run. We will need to buy plastic, and source the internal items for those that purchased the basic and deluxe kits.
Our cases will be Made in the USA. This might mean they cost more to produce, but in the long run we think it will be worth it.
So now what?

Purchasing the tooling and dies for the case. There are some intricate details to the case, and there has been some concern about how to make sure they can be incorporated into the final product. The money will help us start with overcoming that obstacle.
Delays in shipping. While we will ship them all out, we might be underestimating how effectively we can to that. But how ever it turns out, we will be keeping you up to date at every step of the process. But if we get so many orders, that we need to hire someone, that is a problem I will be happy to have.
This concern has been, by FAR, our biggest criticism. MS Clean should obviously not be stored in a location where it could be confused with an actual magazine, nor is it designed to take the place of a magazine. It should clearly be stored in a range bag, on a ruck or in any other area other than on the front of a plate carrier or molle vest. That being said, we have implemented many design features to further prevent confusion. We purposely made it large enough that it will not fit in a magazine well, we are changing the texture and we will be making it available in different colors.
It has been brought to our attention that people would like a way to keep the cleaning tools and supplies in place so we are going to develop a foam insert cut to fit to keep things in place. We want to make it easily removable for people who choose not to use it and opt for more space. If we meet our goal anyone who gets a clean kit from Kickstarter will be sent one.
