So at this point I've moved like 4 times.

    2. Brian Rose

      Still no new updates?

    3. Anthony D.P. Mann on

Well, one step forward (first update in a very long time), and now we're going backwards again, it seems...

Despite assurances, the film is now YEARS overdue, and their Facebook page is gone. One dismissive response I received to a query (some time ago) was from a producer who was blaming the delay on how long it takes to put a film together, etc. Well... Since backing this project, I have personally produced and released two similarly budgeted feature films, currently, in wide distribution with Hollywood-based labels - - - and I would be MORTIFIED if I showed this much disdain to the investors who helped fund our productions (plus, I'd likely never work again!). Delays are understandable, and no one who contributed anything to this campaign would be miffed if updates had been regular. Facebook was the only forum in which backers seemed to be able to elicit any response from the people involved in this film (eventually) - now that's gone, and I'm feeling like we've all been left out in the cold. Really bad form.

Good to hear, that the project is not dead!

Still looking forward to that movie!

    6. John Drinkwater on

Thank you for your detailed update.

    7. John Drinkwater on

Estimated delivery Jan 2016 ... did you guys take our money and run?

Yes, we are small time investors but the disdain you show us by zero communication is simply appalling.

      May your lives be interesting.

    8. Jarbas Porto on

This is getting really weird... I had Kickstarter projects that took a while to deliver stuff, but nothing like this... It's going to be five years in the end of 2018, guys... ALMOST FIVE FUCKING YEARS... And not even a teaser trailer, a wrap video, a goddamn "zup folks!"!?

    9. John Drinkwater on

      “Are we there yet?”

    10. Rebecca Flowers on

      Thanks for the update Michael!

      DOUG....Please give us some updates!!!!!

    11. Michael Adams on

I messaged Doug directly on Facebook to ask about the film. He replied saying that they had recently done pickups and that the film should be done by the spring. Though, I wonder if the creator/director has completely forgotten his backers.

It is now mid Jan 2018, there have been no updates in about 4 years. What the hell is going on? I know that Doug Jones is doing Discovery, but this was supposed to have been completed years ago.

      Echo, echo, echo...

    14. Scott Summerton on

FYI, IMDB still says Oct 31, so we all know how 'accurate' that was. Weeeee.

      Brandy Provost on

It's not coming out in October. If it were, we'd have gotten our invites to the premier. At this point, David needs to be a responsible person and refund everyone's money. I put no faith in people who don't have the common courtesy to keep their supporters in the loop. Shame on everyone working on this project. They all sit back and keep making their money (Star Trek Discovery sucks, by the way, Doug) while the rest of us watch our investment sink like a lead balloon into the abyss of David's pocket.

    16. Scott Summerton on

IMDB is listing an Oct 31 2017 release date so maybe, JUST MAYBE we'll get something updated soon?

I am so frustrated on how this project has been managed... its been a long while (more than a year) since we have last heard of ANYTHING regarding this project... it is showing signs of a scam... and the worst part is that Amazon (which basically OWNs KS) has not stepped forward on this case

    18. Brian Rose

Well I see there hasn't been any updates still

    19. Isis Nocturne on

It's now AUGUST 2017. Your last update was on your FB page in February. How about some updates here, since your last post was in 2016? This is really unacceptable.

    20. Fredericka Turner on

I'm so disappointed in this project. I really wanted Doug Jones' autograph. I pledged $150 and I've gotten nothing. I wish Kickstarter did a better job of vetting the projects, instead of giving people a platform to take people's money.

    21. Michael D'Auben on

No update for over a year, despite numerous requests for news. Very disappointing that this Kickstarter appears to be another failure.

    22. Michael Adams on

Imdb had a release date of Oct. 31 of this year. Hopefully we will see our pledge rewards.

    23. Court Campion on

Lesson to be learned... this is my third "film" project that I've backed and all 3 have basically stopped giving updates and I'll probably never see my rewards. Never backing another film project again.

    24. Seth & Marissa Hunsaker on

Please update this project! We would appreciate it greatly. Thank you! :)

    25. Jason Tingley on

Caias-- did that work for you?? With this film presumably in post production, the hope is there for a release! Now, look over on Indiegogo at Romero's Origins or Dario Argentos Sandman.... dead in the water.

    26. Dave Gaskin on

According to a post on the Facebook page from 24 Feb, the film is still in post-production. Shame us backers can't get an update here on Kickstarter though. Almost 12 months since the last update...

    27. Patrick Tumblety on

Safe to say I'm never getting my Blu-Ray? Anyone know anything?

    28. Henry Lopez

@Ravi - Where did you read/hear that there won't be a Bluray disc?

    29. Ravi Singh on

WoW, so no Bluray!?! Crazy. Anyone hear anything??

    30. Caias Ward / TaleSpinner Holdings on is NJ attorney general's office. Your own state AG will be able to assist you.

    31. D-Boy

      At least you've gotten a poster, @Nick Grugin. I haven't received anything yet. :(

    32. Nick Grugin on

      So....estimated delivery was January.

Most I've gotten was a poster....was kinda hoping for the script/digital download of film/and music download like I was promised....anybody?

    33. Caias Ward / TaleSpinner Holdings on…

They messaged me on their Facebook page.

But that is not here. And they have not shown us progress.

    34. Caias Ward / TaleSpinner Holdings on

We haven't had an update since May. I'm considering contacting my state's attorney general regarding this matter.

    35. Fredericka Turner on

I am disappointed that I have not yet received my shirt and signed poster. I've given up hope that I will receive a copy of the film. I think it's terrible that so much money has been taken from the backers and they've received nothing in return.

      From the Kickstarter blog:

"What should creators do if they're having problems completing their project?

If problems come up, creators are expected to post a Project Update (which is emailed to all backers) explaining the situation. Sharing the story, speed bumps and all, is crucial. Most backers support projects because they want to see something happen and they'd like to be a part of it. Creators who are honest and transparent will usually find backers to be understanding.

It's not uncommon for things to take longer than expected. Sometimes the execution of the project proves more difficult than the creator had anticipated. If a creator is making a good faith effort to complete their project and is transparent about it, backers should do their best to be patient and understanding while demanding continued accountability from the creator.

If the problems are severe enough that the creator can't fulfill their project, creators need to find a resolution. Steps could include offering refunds, detailing exactly how funds were used, and other actions to satisfy backers."

We've only asked for updates for months and months and months. At this point, I want a resolution. I am not happy with the way we've all been brushed off when it takes less than a minute to post a status update.

    37. Anthony D.P. Mann on

I think the lack of communication is apalling.

An update would be great. I've sent three separate messages to no avail. There has been no update to your backers since May, and just posting random things on Facebook doesn't give the people who put their hard-earned money into your production any idea of where things stand. I'm probably not the only one who is starting to feel frustrated and disheartened at the sudden lack of communication.

    40. Reen Serbu on

There has been no update since May. Please keep your backers updated here, as we are the ones who initially helped you!

    41. Seth & Marissa Hunsaker on

Please keep this project updated. Thank you!

    42. Caias Ward / TaleSpinner Holdings on

Can we get updates on what's going on here? You may be posting stuff on Facebook but this is where we sent our money through and this would be a better place to give us information on progress.

i received my shirt and other things months ago but i loved it so much i wore it often and now it has signs of wear can i buy another one?

I haven't gotten any of my perks yet. I pledged for the Doug Jones ($150) pledge. I know some of it will not arrive to me until after the film release date but I was wondering if I was getting the poster and the autographed photo?

Just wondering if sent and lost in mail. Or not sent at this time.

I love my shirt! It's gorgeous (in a creepy way) with a really nice feel to the fabric. Thanks & can't wait for the the flick!
