Photography blended with poetry is not a new idea. So, what makes this project worthy of your attention? That's never an easy question to answer. Why indeed should you plunk down good money to support this work?
Well, the easiest answer is, you will get good value in the rewards offered. We have put together incentives that will reward you for years to come.
The next reason is frankly, selfish. You will help us achieve one of the goals we set ourselves when we embarked on our Grand Tour of The Isles in 2016. To produce a quality work that can serve to inspire, to provoke, and to uplift. The cost of printing quality full color photography books is prohibitive, and publishers willing to take the risk are rather thin on the ground.
And lastly, it will give you the opportunity to support two of the often neglected areas of The Arts: Poetry and Photography. In today's homgionized world, where our options for expression are increasingly limited to the offerings of the unimaginative corporate giants, support of the independent artist is more and more important.
Please help us in our quest to offer something unique and original.

On Standing at the Cliffs of Moher
I come here from the West, From the land of Tír na nÓg,
A journey deemed unnatural.
Back along a one way track,
Swimming powerfully upstream
Against the flow of history and tradition.
To spawn my fragile notions,
To reap a harvest of fresh wisdom,
To taste the sweet fruit of my labours.
I come to the land of my fathers’ fathers’ fathers
And sit on time worn stones
Then drink from the waters that give life
To the windswept Rain swept Edge of their world.
Do I dare stay? Am I of this place?
Or must I return to the West whence I came?
No, I am of the West.
The roots of my tree are here
But my branches and fruit are not.
No, I must return to the West. Back to the land of Tír na nÓg.
Closing the misty curtain of time behind me.
Risks and challenges
The risks are minimal. The book is written, edited, and formatted, all that is left to do is finalize the print ready files, and print it. The only real challenge is making certain that donors get their copies in a timely manner. We'll be spending a lot of time in the post office! I can reasonably expect a delivery date to me well before Christmas, and books will be mailed within 2 weeks of my receipt. The only problems could be possible delays finalizing the print ready files. I will update donors as the project progresses.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
