Introducing Two Beard Games - Pirate's Plundership
A tabletop RPG gaming accessory that doubles as a fun-for-all-ages board game.
It started out nearly a year ago when our group of adventures needed a ship map for a TTRPG campaign. Two Beard Games took to the challenge and created a three-tiered ship that fit our table and campaign needs. It became the talk of the campaign and soon our youngest developer (11-years of age) got a hold of the ship and created a stand-alone game to play between campaign sessions.
A few tweaks and adjustments later, and the Pirate’s Plundership is ready for the masses!
- Model Kit -
The Pirate’s Plundership includes:
- A 3-tiered single-masted ship - complete with crow’s nest
- Game figures
- Two cannons
- Functional Crate
- A ship figurehead
- Customizable name plate
- Decorative box that doubles as the ship’s stand
When assembled, there are three decks ready for adventure! The ship model is approximately 17 inches long from bow to stern, 5.5 inches wide from port to starboard, and 12 inches tall from keel to the top of the crow's nest.
-Tabletop RPG Ready-
Two Beard Games Pirate’s Plundership was designed with TTRPG players in mind. Seafaring campaigns are always fun but finding a suitable ship can be tough. We made sure the grid for the board game matched scales with most popular TTRPG systems, added small features like the nameplate for customization, and kept each layer of the ship accessible from all sides.
The Kraken bundle is for those who want to add a little danger to their waterborne campaign. The Kraken is a gargantuan creature base with multiple stand-alone tentacle figures so you can harass your players from each side of the ship!
-Pirate’s Plundership Game-
Race against your fellow pirates as you board and plunder treasure from your targeted ship. Prepare for battle as you go against the ship’s crew but be aware - the ship could sink at any moment! Pirates that make it back to the dinghy survive the attack. The winner is the one who collected the most gold.
Roll the included dice to move around the ship and collect the coins you land on.
Ending a turn next to an enemy token causes them to attack. It's risky, but enemies are worth their weight in gold, and that can make them worth fighting!
Once three tokens with fire icons have been revealed, it's time to abandon ship! You have three rounds to make it back to the dinghy.
Designed for 2 - 4 players, Ages 5+, 15-20 minutes per game.
Risks and challenges
Timing is everything. We built and tested the Plundership before going to Kickstarter, so our only real risk is being a bit late. Shipping will start as soon as we can, so you might get it earlier than the expected ship date! But if something happens to our hardware, we could be delayed by a week or two.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
