About this project
The plan is to go on a two week tour hitting places like Bellingham, Spokane, Portland, Bend, San Diego, San Francisco and L.A. to share and promote my new Ep, "BudahJade"I love Music
When I was 12 my mom dragged me and my brothers to an African Hand Drumming workshop. We weren't excited at all about it but she MADE us go. That day changed my life forever.
I've been around the city
I've been making and performing music as a percussionist and rapper ever since that day. I've played a lot of different styles, met a lot of great musicians, played a lot of amazing shows at many venues. Out of all of this I've developed my own sound. A sound that stems from my past with learning and teaching African and Afro-Cuban rhythms, my love for Reggae music, my passion for poetry and words as well as love for hip hop and its culture. All of these influences helped developed my newest project "BudahJade".
This Ep is my soul manifested into music. The cd is named after my nephews Mannex (Budah) and Jaeden (Jade) and is dedicated to my family. My brothers Derek, Kevin and Andrew are also on the project.
My music speaks a message of hope in chaotic times. The reflection of ourselves in hopes to continue to learn and grow. The motivation to keep fighting the good fight. Learning from mistakes and teaching those lessons to each other.
Check out my song "L.A.D.A." - Live And Dream Arts. "Gotta learn to love where your at. Love where your from. Love who you are. Believe in what you will become. Start a revolution be part of another one"
I've performed these new songs here in Seattle, Port Townsend and surrounding areas. Now I want to take this music to other cities. I am going on tour to promote the project as well as branch out and reach other communities who share the same passions as me. Good music and art. Thank you all for your support over the years. Time to take this message to the next level. Jah bless.
Risks and challenges
Going on tour is not an easy task. It takes patience, endurance, and finances. The challenges with this tour will be making sure there are funds for transportation and housing, making it to destinations on time as well as being able to have everyday essentials such as food. Once the project is funded, planning out the most cost effective and smooth route will be the first priority. I want to make sure your pledges are being used in the most efficient ways possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
