Is the game getting released at all?
Have you sent those Early Access keys yet? We're almost a month past your May 15th 2015 and I still haven't received mine.
Umm... the game was greenlit about a month ago. We have set our release date of May 15th, 2015 on Early Access. Were going to have the full alpha strat version availble for our debut release on Early Access. Everyone that backed this project will recieve a free acess key from Platoon Studios for Steam. ~John Grisnik
Well Guess this game never went anywhere
We just posted Revision 5, please check to see if you received the link from SendOwl. This revision has the first Mars Map preview and a taste of the upcoming singleplayer missions. ~LtF
The Game has been posted for Download for our Backers. If you dont have the link yet, you can get the game from my Gdrive at:
This is the link to Revision 003 (current Revision). For the Build Notes and more info about the game please go to our website at: www.BIONITE.Platoon-Studios.com.
Is there a beta yet? We're almost 2 years late for the beta now, which was supposed to be scheduled 2 weeks after the funding period.
I don't use Facebook. I have several reasons, but the point still stands that this isn't a Facebook fund raising, but a Kickstarter one. So, you kinda have to update the Kickstarter crowd per Kickstarter rules, you know? I told you a few times already, and even got this lovely promise :
"Apologies Frank, my bad. your right i shouldnt have assumed everyone had FB. I will make a much better effort to update the kick listing when we have substancial updates."
Whiiiiiiiiiich you haven't done anything about since October 2013. We're in March 2014 by the way, so you still don't give a shit about anyone here.
If that's what your "much better efforts" look like, I don't want to see what you're doing about the stuff you don't care about.
"I get people CONSTANTLY trolling me and the project, for absolutly no reason.", well not updating us for 5 months when you promised you'd be better at it is one of the reasons people are probably trolling you.
Seriously no matter how you spin it and how busy you are, there is NO reason not to take 5-10 minutes once every month or two to update the 307 of us, especially after you've promised it, especially when you're 2 fucking years late, and especially when it's in the Kickstarter rules and guidelines which you've had to agree to at some point.
And please, the next time you do an update, could you PLEASE not make it look like a text message that was written while you were taking a shit?
"We still work on the game everyday. We recently released a SP alpha for the PC. For regular updates please visit out facbook page. thank you. -LtF" is the only update we got in all 2013. Don't wonder why some people here are starting to think you don't care about this project or them.
Nvm, found the link down in these comments. The FB is up and the project seems to still be kicking with some screenshots from this month (march). So good times. You guys should look into the normal website loading though. Heck, I could help. I'm IT, basic websites are easy if you just want to put up some pics and point people to the FB page. Which is https://www.facebook.com/bionite for anyone looking for it later.
So is this project dead? I DO use facebook but couldn't find a Bionite page and when I tried to go to bioniteorigins.com to see if I could get to it that way. I basically get a 404. =(
Just so you guys know, we are asking for ideas for naming the Mortar Bike on our FB page. If anyone wants to suggest a name for that veh, well be having a vote on the final name at the end of this week. Any suggestions for the veh name would be great, but we need them this week, just fyi.
Apologies Frank, my bad. your right i shouldnt have assumed everyone had FB. I will make a much better effort to update the kick listing when we have substancial updates. Im mostly working with the game dev, and we need a PR manager to help us manage our websites better.
The problem is that not everyone uses Facebook, and since you've used KS as your funding platform, that's the one you should be using to inform your backers. If you didn't wanted to use KS at all, why didn't you run your funding campaign on Facebook instead?
The "contract" that we've pledged for says : "The next Beta Release is scheduled for May 15th (2012)". We're more than 17 months past that and you're still talking about Alpha. Meanwhile, apparently you've worked on a mobile game instead of what you've promised here.
And honestly, if you get people trolling you constantly, there might be a few valid reasons, like not updating us at all for 12 months, being extremely late on everything, complete lack of communication, etc. No I haven't seen the SP alpha that was recently released because you haven't sent an update to let us know it was out. Here on KS, you can easily update everyone or send a message to all concerned backers.
It's not my fault that you're terrible at managing PR.
Look you guys, just because i havnt left a comment or update here for a while doesnt mean the project has ended or even stopped production. I update the facebook page regularly because all of the discussion has moved there. If this was an easy task, or if i decided to half-ass it, the game would have been done long ago, and the trolls would have nothing to say. I get people CONSTANTLY trolling me and the project, for absolutly no reason. I do most of the work on the game and I have to make arrangments to pay my bills and rent, so I can live and work on the game. If you didnt see the SP alpha that was recently released, theres nothing i can do about that. I am about 85% through the MP version, which will be released soon in alpha, then in a beta. If you guys want regular updates, just go to our facebook page. thanks -LtF
Latest news is this : "We are actually doing so as I make this post, we got severely back-tracked on things like KS but we are working on getting it all back up promise. ~Panda"
Can't believe I have to check on Facebook to get news on a project I've had to pay money here for. This project is a giant mess, what a huge lack of respect for your backers.
Will gladly share the word how you treat your "customers" and the people who believe in you once (if) your game ever gets released. I'm sorry but you'll deserve all the bad press. None of your promises have been kept so far. Not a single one of them. Updates, beta date, release date, etc.
Is this REALLY alive ? Went to Facebook and it just shows some questions about naming 'the buildings and so on. How about a kickstarter update ? Let me reinforce that 307 people provided support to your game through the kickstarter page and not on Facebook. An update once a year wouldnt hurt either. Thanks.
Could you ask him on Facebook to update us. Once a year wouldn't be too much to ask I think...
For some bizarre reason the creator can't be bothered to update the Kickstarter project page. There are updates on https://www.facebook.com/bionite this month so the project looks alive just showing a little disdain for the supporters on here.
Nice, website is now dead? And almost one year since the last update. Pretty lame.
Glad to hear this is still going! We MUST have a battlezone 3 :D (bionite)
Thanks for the update.
Going to tend to agree with Frank, heck, even if KS updates are still less frequent/more compressed compares to other available sources, its still better than nothing. Once every two months even would have you looking alright compared to currently. Good to know stuff is still happening at least
Please remember to update us on Kickstarter too. Your words : "Creator Platoon Studios on July 24, 2012 No Praudmur, you guys don't have to register at the other places too.". Sucks to know we actually had to registered at the other places to get info, I was sure that the project was dead since you're more than a year late for the beta, and it looks like we're not even close to it (you're talking about alpha now?).
Another thing that I'm wondering is the iOS version. Your project page mentions a iOS companion app that is NOT a game, but now you're talking about an iOS game? Did we fund a game / did the PC version get delayed because you decided on an iOS version instead?
And seriously, please do an update here with the videos you have, the progress you've made, etc. It's been almost 7 months since the last update which is quite unacceptable. The last "content" update you gave us was in October 2012 and it said "We have been working really hard at getting the Beta ready. We need to do one more Alpha then we can move on. Were planning on releasing our next alpha in the next 2 weeks." Are we still talking about that same alpha that was supposed to be out in November 2012 or were there several alphas we never heard about?
Sucks about your team and everything, but you have to understand that seven months of silence is a lot, and I shouldn't to have to use Facebook for a Kickstarter project.
we aint dead - not even close! Once we had our first kick campaign more than a few of the devs got greedy and i had to get rid of them. I had to chop off like 20 people. NOW we are a lean, mean, fighting machine! We have a rock solid core of 8 devs working on this now. Our second Kick page was purposly sabotaged by the FORMER marketing director Dan Rhodenizer (another greedy dev that got chopped off at the ankles). It took me a while to rebound from that, but now were set to finish everything. The final SP alpha is almost done for the PC and were currently working on the final version of the iOS. Anyone that backed us on kick or FB or Moddb will get access to the alphas and betas, but the iOS version will be available on iTunes for about $1.50 per map. The SP PC versions will all be free to the kick and FB and ModDB supporters, same with the MP version. I apologize for now updating our kick page, but we do post regular updates on our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/bionite
Let me know if you guys have any questions or comments. Our Greenlight Page will be back up on Steam as soon as the SP beta is done (very soon). -LtF
Sorry, posted on may 11 ( http://forum.bz3genesis.com/bz3/index.php… )
There sure haven't been a lot info offered about the project here on kickstarter, however there seems still to be some activity going on at their forum, http://forum.bz3genesis.com/bz3/
Here is a link to a new video (from the forum) http://youtu.be/b3nimFcSYZc
(it was posted on may 13 2013 in the forum
Though, I haven't registered there myself ...
Did this tank?
Well, another failed Kickstarter it seems.
Well i think Bones said it the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch…
If i read everything right most of the dev team isnt on the project anymore.
They seem to be trying to make a second campaign on indiegogo but even that was announced last year and hasnt started. But at least there seems to be some kind of alpha thats allready running.
Happy late birthday of this Kickstarter... any word on it?
Would be really nice to see some kind of update.
Just a sign of live would be gread.
Sooooo, we're 1 year late for the beta...has the project died or what?
You last post from almost a year ago says I don't have to register at other places so I'm guessing you'll update us when it's ready...is it?
No Praudmur, you guys don't have to register at the other places too.
Thanks for the Alpha build, it's looking good can't wait to play a beta build :)
What are you talking about? Closed beta? I haven't received any mail or something. And i DON'T have Facebook account. Why you can make updates via Kickstarter page? I have pledged in many games and what i need to register in all this project sites again?
Sorry for the long delay guys, we have been extremely busy working on this and we have some good news now! If anyone was following our Facebook page, then you would of seen the Open Beta coming up. That has been a concern for some people, but we have a Closed Beta for only our Kickstarter backers leading up to the Open Beta--which you will also be apart of.
We also have some great news with the graphics department, we have found some new talented team-members thanks to the Kickstarter campaign and they've been busy upgrading & creating new models. The game is going to look great when it's finished!
Thanks for your patience, if you have anymore questions don't be afraid to ask.
Barry, are you still having problems with the forums?
I can't seem to get my account activated on your guys forums, anything you can do to change the way verification works. It seems kind of broken.
You can follow our updates on Facebook http://facebook.com/bionite but you guys will be the first to try out our alpha very soon as we are delaying the Beta to improve on the graphics and tightening some things up. Thanks again, and again--sorry for the delay.
Some things have come up, but don't worry we're going to have something for you guys soon! Very sorry about the delay.
They say the "Beta Release is scheduled for May 15th", but as you should know, sometimes there can be delays if unexpected problems happen...
But I agree that they really should release some info about the status of the project and when the beta will start
So I thought there was a May 15th Beta?? I haven't found it, its May 19th now...
So....maybe they are on different planet no?
It never occurred to me that you guys could also be in a different time zone, if that's the case then I apologize.
So...its May 15th and I haven't seen any mention of beta.
If you will release Beta on May 15th it will heps....
We're going on IndieGoGo next so stay tuned! Anyone who was unable to donate will have a chance to donate again!
So next update will be in less than two weeks on May 15th - Beta Release? =)
well, you have a few more days to solve the payment problem, try a different credit card or maybe buy a prepaid credit card, or something like it ...
was really looking forward to supporting this project but unfortunately amazon payment won't let me :/
will definitely buy the game once it's released though ^^
A huge thanks to all of our supporters & fans who helped us get our Kickstarter campaign funded. We owe it to you guys to deliver now. :)
