Everyone is mentioning the graphics--that's the reason why we're on Kickstarter, to improve the graphics to industry standards.
After continuous comments and concern towards the Multiplayer Subscription Service, we have decided to scrap it and have no Monthly Fees.
A $12 pledge will get you the full digital copy of the game on Steam.
[Update]: We achieved our funding goal and we have a studio that specializes in 3D graphics that wants to help polish the graphics. If we can raise $30,000 we can get all of our models & landscapes re-textured and the game to look like how we envision.

BIONITE: Origins - The Game
BIONITE: Origins is reinventing gaming by merging two popular genres: First-Person Shooting & Real-Time Strategy.
We've been patiently waiting for another game like Battlezone '98 for a long time. Too long in fact, that we decided to take it upon ourselves! There hasn't been a game like it since and we've all been waiting for a Battlezone 3, but unfortunately Atari had to back out at the last minute when the deal was close.
What we want to do, is combine First-Person Shooting action with Real-Time Strategy the right way by taking what past games in this genre did right & wrong and build from it with new ideas.
Right now, our number one focus is finishing the Multiplayer, which will support up to 64 players. The maps online will be very large in scale and give you an open world experience of being on Venus, Mars, Europa or the Moon.
BIONITE: Origins vehicles and structures are created from refined Bionite, which has anti-gravitational and self-healing properties.
The environments in BIONITE are realistic to the planets that are in the game. We took the time needed to thoroughly research each planet.

As you can see in the extended teaser trailer, we are nearing completion with the first open-beta release. The $30,000 from Kickstarter will primarily go towards finishing the game. We also need additional funding to hire texture artists and we would like to provide several dedicated servers in strategic locations around the world. We have seen a tremendous amount of interest from people around the globe and would like to provide everyone with a solid, smooth Multiplayer server.

Platoon Studios is a group of 23 people that are passionate about video games. Everyone on the Team shares an enthusiasm for PC games and their creation. We have a complete team of artists and programmers dedicated to bringing back the FPS/RTS genre for the PC. Also, one additional requirement to joining our Team is (and always will be) a humble acknowledgment of the great work done to create the original hybrid: BZ '98.
Platoon Studios had the most humble of beginnings. After about two years of development and trial by fire, we finally had a working Alpha. Now we're on our way to solid Beta Testing Phase.
The Founder, John Grisnik is just some crazy guy who spends all of his time yelling at his PC and not giving up. His attitude towards getting things done is reflected. We have an outstanding crew, especially our SSgt, Dan Rhodenizer, who has been a critical team member since the beginning.

Because no one else is going to. We've been waiting for Battlezone 3 for a long time, so it was time for us to take it into our own hands. This game has so many possibilities in the modern game world.
Remember, we're a small independent team, but we're working towards more game footage and content. With the funds we raise on here we'll be able to produce more gameplay footage as our equipment can use some upgrading.
