most convenient home theater system ever developed
THEATRE BOX is a marvelous audio system that embodies a revolutionary 3D audio technology within a sleek portable design. The unconventional method brings you thrilling enjoyment of superb sonic realism at home and beyond, ready for movie lovers, music fans, game nerds, and definitely for the mobile internet era!
Landscape Change in Living Room
Revolutionary 3D Audio Technology
Conventional three dimensional audio effect was created with beam forming technology. The audience were surrounded with several speakers which in concerto rendered the sound in directions pointing to a spot where the sound beams mean to cross. The audience who stay at the predefined spot (sweet spot) can enjoy the optimal 3D audio effect.
THEATRE BOX adopts sound wave field synthesis, a brand new technology that can smartly gauge the sound field space, and render sound waves like continuous layers of bubbles. Each layer of the sound wave bubble are encoded with 3D audio effect. As the bubble expands and reach the audience's ears, the audience will clearly hear the vivid three dimensional sound effect. In acoustics, we call the technology holophony and the sound effect it created holograph.( Backers who are interested in this technology, can visit the following link: http://www.holophony.net/Principle%20of%20wave%20field%20synthesis.htm.)
With the new technology, you can save much space of the living room. And while you are moving around in the room, you can still seamlessly enjoy the same 3D audio effect.
Experience 3D Audio Effect
Plug in a good pair of headphones and play this short video to experience the 3D audio effect. Before experience it, please remember to check the ear pieces are placed on correct sides.
Experience THEATRE BOX audio with video record
To further illustrate the 3D audio effect of THEATRE BOX, we particularly shot three video clips showing its sound expression of different types of movies. Please plug in a good headphone to experience. Please understand that the video cannot fully express the firsthand experience as it involves 2 rounds of translation (THEATRE BOX to video camera, and computer to your headphone).

The THEATRE BOX is the first 3D audio device that can be fetched with one hand. In its compact design, four 2-inch full range drivers and one 3-inch rear active bass driver are enclosed by well painted steel mesh. THEATRE BOX boasts of 58 watts of standard power output, and 125 watts of peak power output.
THEATRE BOX adopts well designed capacitor touch control panel. It not only makes the design simple and sleek, but also wards off the risks of mechanical wearing and possible damages caused by dust or water. Together with considerate design of voice prompts and LED indication, the touch control panel makes the THEATRE BOX intuitively user friendly.

Size and Audio Quality
Yes, you must have seen many other small wireless speakers. They sound good for their size. But they all fail to render acoustic virtual reality that places the audience at scene. Their sound is flat and one-dimensional.
Using multi-dimensional sound maneuver, THEATRE BOX creates jaw-dropping acoustic realism that can be compared to performance of conventional home theater systems. Everyone who heard the THEATRE BOX has been aghast. “It’s like that I have walked into a cinema or a music chamber."
THEATRE BOX adopts quantum bass technology, a combination of acoustics, electronics, software and mechanical engineering working in concert to produce a bone shaking low frequency sound.
Tech savvy users will notice that there is no port tube in the THEATRE BOX. That is where the uniqueness of the quantum bass design resides. It simply remove that conventional bulky part, without sacrificing the audio quality.

Project Investment & Schedule
ACEMILE has been relentlessly engaging the best resources for R&D of the THEATRE BOX in the past twelve months. We started tooling in early September, which is going to be finished by Oct 10th, 2014. After 2 rounds of mandatory pilot run for testing and validation, ACEMILE expects to get ready for production of early bird review units before Christmas. And our earliest date of standard shipment is on Feb 14, 2015.
ACEMILE expects that remaining R&D activities will incur further investment of USD 190,000(design validation: USD 40,000; production line validation: USD 150,000) .

Colors for Early Birds
ACEMILE tries the best to cater diversified demand of the market. Due to constraints of R&D resources and the supply chain, THEATRE BOX will only come out with 2 colors (cerulean and black) for early bird review.
Colors for Standard Shipment
With your help, ACEMILE will validate 4 colors of THEATRE BOX -- white, blue, red and black before Mid January 2015. We will decide whether to ship all these colors (white, cerulean, ruby and black) or when to ship them after a thorough market survey. Your input about that is definitely important.
For backers who have not decided to pledge enough money for early bird review edition of the THEATRE BOX, ACEMILE also prepared two rewards. They are a smart LED candle that can change 256 colors, and an ultra-thin power bank.
Many backers inquired whether we would develop a WiFi enabled THEATRE BOX. Our answer is Yes, but maybe not only WiFi. The team is has a plan to work out a THEATRE BOX S that support voice command and voice search for online video and audio content. We hope that we can stretch the funding goal from $39,000 to $ 150,000 so as to enable us to complete the prototype phase (targeting at Jun 2015). Even though the remaining phases will cost much more money, we expect to use the cash generated from THEATRE BOX sales to further fund it.

Risks and challenges
ACEMILE team have been working extremely hard in the past months to minimize the risks. The latest prototype works perfectly and the design has been scrutinized to ensure high level DFM (design for manufacturing). At this moment, we are almost ready to enter the trial production phase. We’ve got veterans in manufacturing and supply chain management in the team.
However, as we are chasing the ultimate audio performance and best user experience. We have worked very closely with our suppliers, but still we are not controlling everything. Even though the chances are very low, if any unforeseeable circumstances occur, it may delay the shipping date and we will send you a notice explaining it.
ACEMILE team is a group of perfectionists and hard workers. We will only deliver products which we are willing to spend our own money on. We believe we will start shipping review edition in December 2014 and commercial edition in Feb January 2015, if not sooner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
