ONE YEAR LATER
Well, here we are: exactly one year removed from our dramatic Kickstarter victory.
In our last update, we shared the need to open a retail space as soon as possible at a site with the proper licensing to serve our customers. As a result, the bagel diner at McCraw Street would have to be put on hold. So, on this anniversary of our Kickstarter victory, WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE WILL BE THE NEW TENANTS AT 3346 WASHINGTON STREET IN JAMAICA PLAIN.
For those that don't have the address to your all time favorite bakery memorized, that is where Canto 6 (and Bread & Butter before them) once blessed the stomachs of those lucky enough to live in the Parkside JP neighborhood.
We cannot begin to tell you how excited we are to move forward! We need a space to serve consistently without bouncing all over town. We want to preserve our community investment by opening in a spot that we used to frequent (and have since missed). And we're grateful to serve the very neighborhood in which Exodus was born.
We are also inspired and motivated to set up shop at the corner of Washington and Green Streets, because we see that securing a retail space with proper licensure in place gets us closer to fulfilling our goals at McCraw Street. 2 McCraw will continue to be our commercial kitchen where we'll produce food & our bagels with greater frequency. The smaller retail space on Washington is where we will focus on serving our bagels, sandwiches, coffee and drinks to the hungry Parkside neighborhood and all those who venture here.
We know that the road has been long and appears to be winding, but we're clear on the path ahead. Stay tuned for more specific info regarding the new storefront in JP! We can't wait to welcome you at 3346 Washington!!
