About this project
Risks and challenges
Some of the risks include: Not being able to find any students with interest in the project or without time to edit the footage, but we've already been in touch with a few who are interested. We're hoping to get near-professional quality editing for the project, but since we will be using recently graduated film students, it may not turn out as perfectly as we're hoping it will. Something unforeseen may happen on the trip, such as serious injuries or illness, that cause us to end early, in which case we will still plan on creating the video up until the point we reached. If only one person is injured or sick, we may try to finish the rest solo, but that would be a last resort as the danger involved is much greater.
Death is another thing that comes to mind: bears in the north, gators down south, and the normal dangers associated with navigating a river for an extended amount of time. We both promise not to die. However, if such a case arises, we hope someone can make a story about it and be able to deliver to you in an entertaining way to make up for our failure.
As far as the post-production goes, we anticipate having the film ready to go in November at the latest. If that changes, we will be on top of things and communicate every bit of information we have.
We both have the drive and tenacity to see this project through no matter what problems we encounter.
