The God Pledge for the core game box gives you a complete game with dozens of stretch goal extras. You don’t actually need any more to have months or even years of replay value.
However, you can never have too much of a good thing, and the mythology we’ve based Mythic Battles: Pantheon on is vast, so there was a lot we couldn’t fit into the core box.
The expansions listed below all add new miniatures, new game play, new maps, new scenarios, or a mix of all of these. They expand your game play options to give you even more years of gaming delights.
If you're interested in purchasing any of these optional buys, please just click the “Manage Your Pledge” button on the Mythic Battles: Pantheon Kickstarter page, and add the amount of the items that you’d like to get in the pledge manager. You don’t have to specify what you want at this stage, we’ll sort out what your extra money is going towards after the campaign has closed, when we send you our pledge manager.
The TITAN bundle is an add-on for your God pledge ($89 Early Bird God pledge or $99 God pledge). Together, they give you all the essential gaming content for Mythic Battles: Pantheon.

Mythic Battles: Pantheon is a miniatures board game that puts you in an Olympian God’s sandals! It offers several game modes: from tactical battles against other Gods, to scenarios and campaigns that’ll take you on an epic adventure across the devastated ruins of Ancient Greece.
Each God, hero, or monster possesses spectacular and unique powers. The game blends elements of drafting forces, card management, and special dice to enable skilful use of combos and player influence over chance.
The Titans have escaped their prison in Tartarus to wreak havoc and devastation upon the world. Seeking revenge on their jailers, they attacked the home of the Gods - Mount Olympus itself! The battle was long and closely-fought, but in the end the Gods were victorious. Even so, the battle cost them dearly.
The surviving Gods are greatly weakened and have lost their immortality. The only way to regain this power is to assimilate the energy stones called Omphalos. The first to absorb enough of this energy will become the new ruler of the Gods, and can create a Pantheon in their own image.
Each miniature possesses unique powers: Zeus throws lightning bolts, the Hydra regenerates, Achilles is almost invulnerable… These powers can be combined to create devastating effects. At the start of each game you choose a God, and then build a warband around them. Choose wisely!
After you've chosen your God, you get a recruitment point budget to buy their followers with. This budget depends on the number of players at the table. In the more narrative campaign mode, you play with a pre-selected team of fighters that evolves from one scenario to the next.
Your warriors fall into four different categories: Gods, Heroes, Monsters, and Troops. Each type has its own advantages, and you may build your army with any combination you like – the only restriction is the overall cost. If your God only wants Monsters to fight beside them, that’s fine.
Everything you need to use a character in the game is written on their character dashboard.
In order to track the changing stats of each God, Monster, and Hero, their dashboards can be fitted with specially designed stat clips. These plastic clips simply snap on to a dashboard, showing the current stats in a window. As the unit takes damage, the stat clip slides easily down the track to show the modified stats.
The core box comes with enough clips for all 14 dashboards, including the KS Exclusive Apollo. Clips are removable and can be swapped between dashboards if you choose.
The cost in recruitment points tells you how useful a character is in battle.
The Gods are the most powerful miniatures in your army. However, since having your God slain means you are out of the game, they can also spell your defeat.
Heroes are often leaders, they enhance the use of troops and offer greater control over your army.
Monsters are formidable in battle, though they lack the ability to command others.
Units of Troops are represented by more than one miniature. Troops are the only kind of unit that can return to play after being destroyed.
All miniatures presented in this campaign will be plastic, pre-assembled, and shipped unpainted.
One feature of Mythic Battles: Pantheon is the number of large miniatures included in the game. The Gods in particular are all at least 65mm (2.5 inches) tall, and some of the Monsters also tower over normal mortals.
A LOT OF SPEARS
The universe of Mythic Battles: Pantheon, counts many a spear, sword, and other long, thin weapon among its vast armoury. To avoid all the bent weapons we so often see in other board games’ PVC miniatures, we’ve decided to innovate by making some of the weapons in ABS (hard plastic) instead.
You activate the units in your army by using the cards that make up your deck. Each unit has 3-5 Activation cards. This means that before exhausting your deck, you’ll be able to activate them that many times. Particularly fast or aggressive units tend to have 5 Activation cards. More cautious or slow units only have 3.
The second type of cards are Art of War cards, a kind of Joker that can be spent to trigger special effects such as drawing 2 extra cards, searching your deck for a specific Activation card, activating a second unit, or using a special power. Clever use of your Art of War cards is often the key to victory.
Combat in Mythic Battles: Pantheon uses special dice. When a unit attacks, you’ll roll a number of dice equal to your fighter’s attack rating. Each die is read individually and needs to equal or beat the defence rating of the opposing warrior to injure them. Blank faces count as misses.
Each 5 may be re-rolled, and the new result is added to 5. This allows you to hit enemies with a defence greater than 5.
On top of the re-rolls, you can discard any rolled die (except for blanks) to add +1 to the result of any other die. If, thanks to this, you obtain a 5, it can be re-rolled. Each die with a final result that is equal to or higher than the defence value of the attacked warrior inflicts 1 wound. Move the statistics clip down by one line per wound.
Mythic Battles: Pantheon is played on a series of lavishly illustrated, mounted boards (60x60cm). Each is divided into a number of areas for game play. Your miniatures are placed in one area at a time, and move from one area to the next. The symbol in each area’s center tells you what type of area it is. The number in each area tells you the maximum number of units it can hold. You can place trees on a Forest area and broken columns in a Ruined area.
The boards are also compatible with the Conan game both in style of art and general layout. This means that owners of Conan can use the Mythic Battle boards for new scenarios.
There are four boards in the Mythic Battles: Pantheon core box: Olympus, Tartarus, Styx and the Minos Labyrinth.
Olympus has been put to fire and sword after the battle against the Titans. This board is ideal for beginners, offers a great variety of terrains, favors movement, maneuvers and close combat.
Tartarus is the prison of the Underworld. It is there that Monsters and Titans were safely locked away… until they escaped. This sinister board requires zigzagging between the giant chains and spherical metallic prison, unless you have the Climb skill - particularly valuable here.
The antechamber of the river Styx was the place where souls prepared to embark upon their journey into the Underworld, but it is also the route through which they’ve escaped, ever since Hades no longer watches over them. This board is rugged and movement isn’t easy. Only the smallest units can sneak into the crevasses flooded by the Styx. This is a more complex board that favours ranged attacks.
The palace of Minos was built above the labyrinth in which the Minotaur was imprisoned. The cataclysm caused the collapse of the palace, and this board is now composed of two levels. On the upper floor, you will have a view over the maze and can easily take on anything that moves. But there are only two ramps to access it, so controlling these can be vital.

Based on our Conan experience, we will be charging shipping once the Kickstarter is over, based on the actual costs. We will collect the information via our pledge manager after the campaign ends. We will ship your rewards at our cost to our international hubs. Depending on where in the world you are, we will either ship to you from our hub in France (EU backers), China (Asia Pacific backers), USA (The USA and the rest of the world), Australia (Australia and New Zealand backers), Japan (Japanese backers). The following is a list of rough estimates for shipping a standard game package that is roughly the same weight as Conan (5.25kg weight for core box + SG). Keep in mind these are just estimates, and costs may rise based on weight increases from unlocked stretch goals and any optional buys you choose.
- USA: $20-$30 to most states. $30-35 to Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico.
- CANADA: $20-$30 to most cities.
- LATIN AMERICA: $50-$60 to most countries.
- ASIA: $27 to China and Hong Kong. $40 to most other countries.

Be aware that all pledges that are confirmed after the pledge manager deadline will be shipped from the US hub at a later date. For non-US backers that will likely incur increased shipping costs. We also cannot ship to PO Boxes domestically or internationally. Due to the size of each package, there is too great a risk of the package being sent back to us.
We will do our utmost to ensure that your products arrive on time, before the public release of the game. However, we are aware that some problems concerning shipping and production may arise that are outside of our sphere of influence. The immense majority of backers will receive their game before the general release, but there are specific locations that might take much longer to get delivered, so we cannot guarantee that a 100% of our backers will receive their copy of the game before the general release, there might be a few of them who won’t. We can, at least, guarantee that you will be benefitting from a great discount and many exclusive Kickstarter only features. The commercial version of the game will include a lot less material than the KS one. If these special contents and prices are not sufficient when compared to the risk of not being delivered on time, then we suggest that you do not participate in this crowdfunding campaign and acquire the game when it is released in shops.
We are actually not one but two companies. Monolith is the publisher of the very successful Conan board game, who broke records when it was launched on Kickstarter and whose first wave has just been delivered to backers (everything but the 3 expansions which will arrive soon). Since Monolith's team was so busy coping with Conan's extraordinary success which meant much more work than expected, another team was gathered to work on a new project so a new company was created: Mythic Games.
Being prepared: it’s not just for Boy Scouts. It is, in fact, one of the main lessons learned from Conan, and which has been applied to Mythic Battles: Pantheon. That preparation has taken many forms.
The rules are written and laid-out in a beta version accessible now. They have been played over a thousand times, so they work!
World-class artists have helped to create a visual framework for the game, to help you understand the vision.
To help the physical production of the game work smoothly, Monolith hired an experienced production manager. She regularly visits the factory to check the status of each element in the process, just as she did with Conan. Working with the same factory, and building on existing relationships, builds greater confidence in the manufacturing process and reduces the chances of unpleasant surprises during fulfilment.
One direct result of this additional preparation are the grey miniatures of the core box you see on this page. They are not mock-ups, 3D prints, resins, or carefully Photoshopped 3D renders – they are the first test shots from the actual production moulds. All the miniatures from the core box are at this stage already, giving time to refine and perfect this already impressive first test.

One of the biggest things that sets us apart is the huge campaign of play-testing that the game has undergone over the past year and a half, and it is still going even as we speak! To this date, over 2,500 different players in France and abroad. This is without counting the hundreds of playtests that the game has been subjected to internally. TWO COMPANIES - ONE GREAT GAME
Hindsight is always 20/20, but you can’t get it in advance. Or can you? By working together with Monolith, Mythic Games has been able to draw on their experience with Conan. This has allowed Mythic Battles: Pantheon to avoid many of the pitfalls which Conan discovered the hard way.
So, Mythic Battles: Pantheon is brought to you jointly by Monolith and Mythic Games. Each company has been responsible for specific parts of the process, playing to the different strengths and experiences of the individuals involved.
The teams have also adapted their work to the different stages of game production. As with any other manufactured product, some tasks happen at the start, others later on, and some continue throughout. In our case, as tasks were completed on Conan, the attention of the relevant staff shifted to Mythic Battles to apply their experience to the new project. Even so, the core Conan team was, and remains, focussed on that game alone: their task is not yet complete so they cannot move onto new ones.
As an example of this division of responsibilities, Mythic Games took care of the game design, art direction, communication, and the Mythic Tour to gaming events across France and beyond.
Monolith, on the other hand, were focussed mainly on the manufacturing end of the process. Working with the same factory, and having just finished one demanding project, they have even been able to improve on the already excellent quality of the Conan miniatures.
In the future both companies hope to produce many more games, and by focussing on quality, and learning from their mistakes, they aim to produce games that are a pleasure to own and play.
The estimated delivery date for Mythic Battles: Pantheon is December 2017, but please keep in mind that this is only an estimate. Also note that due to logistical restrictions in different regions, some backers may receive their pledge rewards before others. We will be doing our utmost to avoid these situations and, in the unlikely event that we are unable to deliver the game, we will be refunding pledges in full.
Due to the fact that the core box of Mythic Battles: Pantheon is 95% complete as we head into this campaign, and that we have already signed agreements with many of those in charge of production, delivery and distribution, we have no reason to suspect that this eventuality will ever occur. We’ve successfully delivered Conan (only the three expansions and the campaign are not delivered yet, they are in production now and the estimated delivery is March/April 2017).
All pledges can be refunded up to 14 days after the end of the Kickstarter campaign, fees included. After which, we have a policy of no questions asked for a refund, but will be unable to refund you the charges incurred by Kickstarter and Stripe (as we will not be refunded by them after this 14 day period), Pledge Manager and also the other charges for your payment (PayPal, VISA, credit card...). This represents approximately 15% of the full payment. Once we have started to process and packed your order, when the first ship leaves China, refunds will no longer be available. If any part of an order cannot be delivered, then we will reimburse you the cost of this component, fees included. Refunds within the 14 days are reversed via Stripe to your credit card. Any refunds requested after the 14 days close of the campaign may be processed via PayPal or reversed via Stripe or your credit card. This project is being funded in USD and any refunds processed will be in the USD for the exact amount received in USD, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.
