Winter Renovations!

Dear Backers & Putters,

We want to thank you again for making mini-golf on Roosevelt Park a reality this past year and change.

Next weekend the course will be coming down to make room for what comes next in 2014. If you want to visit one last time, please check in before then.

We hope you had fun participating in the tournaments, playing through, and/or just enjoying the adventure.

Mini-golf may yet again return to the area, but for now it's back to a field of dreams, charging up for its next incarnation.

From the Lawrence Tech sculpture class to friends at Pony Ride to the hosts at Imagination Station, thank you and see you soon!

THIS SUNDAY: Fall Classic Mini-Golf Tournament

This Sunday, October 27th from 12 - 4 PM we're hosting the Fall Classic Mini-Golf Tournament at Urban Put-Put. (Actually, we had to change the name after a cease and desist letter from the group that owns both "putt-putt" and "put-put," so now it's called Roosevelt Par!)

Details, RSVP, and pre-registration are at .

We're asking for a $15 entrance donation, but if that's steep for you right now just come out. We'd love to play with the OG backers, and your friends.

There will be some food and music and local prizes for sharp putters.

Come out and enjoy the crisp fall weather before it gets too cold!

A few pre-Christmas updates

Mike from Put Put

Most of the Urban Put Put crew has been busy wrapping up finals for the semester so we've taken a  little break from the project to work on other classes. But now that the semester is nearly over Urban Put Put is back on our minds and we're ready to get back to mini golf. We'll be getting the deliverables out to the backers soon as well so be on the look out in the next week or so! Aside from distributing the rewards to everybody we'll also be planning some more events as well to keep the Urban Put Put spirit going.

Another important bit of info for all, due to some issues with trademarking we're going to be forced to change the name.

Hey its Mike from Put Put,

We had a great turn out for the Polar Bear Classic a week ago and with the students stressing for finals and all we've taken a bit of a break with the project itself. So now that we want to find a winner to our beta test tournament and to better judge the pars on each hole, it would be awesome if we could get a picture or scan of your card emailed to us ( that would be awesome.

Lil video & pics, + BYOP if you got it!

One more quick message before tomorrow's open house putt-putt play-around between 12 and 4 PM:

Have a peep at this short video of the first test of the hole with the looooong pink ramp. Awesome:

Also see the attached pics of the student designers finishing up today in preparation for tomorrow.

There will be a bunch of handmade wooden putters at the course, but if you have your own golf club please bring it, too. BYOP = Bring Your Own Putter!

Hope to see you! Remember, bring friends with you, and just know that if they didn't back the project on Kickstarter we'll ask them for a $10 donation.

We'll also be asking for feedback from all of you on how to make things better and better and exceed your expectations.

Many thanks again for supporting the project! See you soon, just a block south of Michigan Avenue and 14th Street on Roosevelt Park,

Jerry & Everybody
