A compelling documentary about men with breast cancer. The powerful brotherhood they form and the severe hardships they face.
We are asking for your help to fund this feature length documentary film.
Bill and Bob were strangers before their diagnosis.
Once they met, they became brothers.
Bill was diagnosed one year earlier than Bob. He became Bob's mentor. Bill guided Bob through the maze of surgery, treatment, and recovery.
One year later, Bob is cancer free.
But Bill's cancer returns. This time it's Stage 4. Terminal.
Bill is plunged into a nightmare of failed treatments, denied clinical trials, and failing health.
Determined that no one experience what they have, Bill and Bob start a foundation: BREAST CANCER BROTHERS.
Their Mission: Raise Awareness, Fund Critical Research, and Save Lives.
We follow these men, their families, and fellow survivors around the world as they battle the disease, the stigma, and worst of all - the lack of research and funding for treatments to stay alive.
Thank You For Visiting Us
We appreciate you taking an interest in our project.
As we’ve come to know Bob and Bill, their families, doctors, and friends – we’ve developed a profound understanding of their lives and the exceptional challenges they face. We are so grateful that they've welcomed us into their lives in this profoundly honest manner.
We’re honored to have this opportunity to share this with you.
David and I have spent the last several months carefully researching, filming, and preparing this campaign.
We Need Your Help
Up to now, we’ve been able to film through the generosity of our team donating their time, talents, and equipment.
We need $80,000 to make this film.
We have thoughtfully researched the undertaking of this project to arrive at this budget.
If we don’t meet our funding goal, we get nothing.
Any contribution helps us and we are so extremely grateful.
Where Does Your Contribution Go?
Your contribution will fund our production costs to deliver a feature length film. We will then work to secure distribution on multiple platforms.
Kickstarter is an amazing opportunity for us to join together to share in creating this project.
What is Male Breast Cancer?
A breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts from cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that may grow into (invade) surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body.
But breast cancer is less common in men because their breast duct cells are less developed than those of women and because they normally have lower levels of female hormones that affect the growth of breast cells.
