Two Decks of Cards
One deck is like a regular deck only it has patriotic symbols (Eagles, Stars, Shields, and Liberty Bells), you can play any card game with that deck. The other deck is what makes this game unique, and is what the rest of the text below will address.
GAME PLEDGES WILL SHIP IN DECEMBER! (Promotional materials will ship when they are produced in February.)
MADE IN THE USA really is made and printed in the USA. It contains 110 playing cards, including one deck of 52 USA cards (plus 3 "W" cards), 15 Event cards (with the USA back), 42 CHANGES IN THE WIND cards, 1 Old Glory line marker, and hours of fun. It contains no computer chips, requires no batteries, and can be played just about anywhere.
110 cards, 2 to 10 players, ages 7 and up.
MADE IN THE USA is the card game where the cards are laid out like dominoes. Players match All-American symbols (suits) and numbers to create a table-full grid of cards, as they work to get rid of all their cards.
The Basics of the Game:
Players create four lines of suits using patriotic cards. Players have the freedom to play as many cards that connect (or unite) to each other during their turn OR play an Event Card (but you can’t do both on the same turn).
When suits are changed a “Changes in the Wind” card is drawn and anything can happen – the card you played might have been your last card and you thought you were going out, but you have to draw a Changes card and suddenly you are right back in the game.
What People Are Saying about MADE IN THE USA:
"It's fun. I like that you can play a hand in under 15 minutes."
"My family loved it. My daughter kept Snap-chatting pics of cards that made her laugh. Her favorite was 'Your mother wears Army boots'."
"You get to know the other players. It's the way games used to be."
"I'm gonna ask my teacher to get one for rainy days."
"I can see how it would make a great stocking stuffer."
MADE IN THE USA is a game for everyone, especially for those with family and friends in the military or who are "first responders."
HOW TO PLAY VIDEO: (Sorry super-pitch granddaughter not featured in this video except for a very brief cameo appearance in which she tries to escape from the room.)
This is not a fast-paced game, this is a get to know each other and enjoy each others' company kind of game.
Reason for the Project:
The current box design doesn't really demonstrate how the game is played or show off the great artwork created especially for the game by artist Cary Henrie. So, we decided to do exactly what the stores (and others) asked for – by creating a point of purchase display card that showcases the artwork and how fun the game is to play. We think this will help. We welcome your pledge support and your feedback.
To date we have sold more than 4,500 copies of the game in specialty game and book stores as well as Yankee Candle, America! stores (in the Washington DC area) and online. (We have given away hundreds more to service men and women, Toys for Tots, etc.)
These sales tools will promote the game further. With these tools we are looking to get MADE IN THE USA in all the CRACKER BARREL stores across the country. We will also make a serious run at other national chains, including CHUCK E. CHEESE.
Creating Promotional Tools for the Game:
This laminated point of purchase card along with fun stickers will popularize and demonstrate the game in stores, rec centers, and senior centers. (The pic below shows the front and back of the laminated card.)
Having this tool will make it so people can see how easy it is to play without having to read all the rules.
When this project gets funded we will also create MADE IN THE USA stickers that can go on windows, mirrors, lockers, bikes, notebooks, envelopes, etc. to help promote the game in stores and elsewhere.
Thanks for helping us reach our funding goal. Now more rewards for all pledges receiving games:
$1500 -- Copy of the Rules in Brief, similar to what we are creating for stores, e-mailed or printed, not laminated.
$1750 -- Printed and signed copy of a Poem written by the game designer for his father who is a Veteran with two Purple Hearts, and who went on to be a first responder/firefighter for 30 years.
ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE GAME COMPANY
The Incredible Game Company (IGC) was established in 1988 by Mike Agrelius.
In addition to MADE IN THE USA, IGC has also produced and marketed IN YOUR FACE!, EXTINCTION: The Last Game They Ever Played, and ABSTRACTS: The Game of Absurd Logic.
Over the years, IGC has sold other games and products, but has remained a small publisher and marketing company – selling less than 400,000 product units altogether.
Thank you for your help with the MADE IN THE USA demo and promo tools (our first Kickstarter project).
The mention of Chuck E. Cheese and Cracker Barrel restaurants in this campaign is not meant to imply any type of endorsement of this project by either of these companies or their employees (but we can hope they will get the word out to their store managers and franchise owners).

Risks and challenges
There are very minimal risks associated with this project since we already have MADE IN THE USA games in stock and ready to ship. The artwork for the point of purchase project is completed, and artwork for the stickers is also ready, which is why we are only asking for $1,250 to fund this project. All we need to do is get the stickers and point of purchase cards made and we are ready to go. Because so much is already completed and because we have games in stock, we can ship some of the rewards the instant the project is funded.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
