So What is Beezus?
Born in the land of Dust and Honey, Beezus comes before you bringing sweet salvation. He is here to shelter you from the sin and suffering rampant in the city of Black Rock. As you wander lost through the desert, he offers you his flesh and blood in the form of honey and mead. Beezus has come to save you.
But seriously. Beezus is a bee mutant vehicle set to cruise the playa at Burning Man in 2013. We're building a honey bar on the back to serve honey from Burner beekeepers around the world, and the occasional mead brew if you catch us at the right time. It's already looking like we'll have representation from 5 continents!
Beezus appeared to Michelle "Smallfry" Lessans as a vision from the divine. Now with the help of an amazing group of friends, builders, and creative geniuses, and the help of people like YOU we are manifesting this vision to spread the word of our mighty leader!
Why Should I Support Beezus?
Because he will SMITE you! But really. Because who doesn't love bees? Or honey? Or mead? What could be better than seeing a giant bee buzzing across the playa, and then discovering that it's filled with honey from around the world plus a little cozy cuddle space to enjoy it? I don't have a profound story about this. I just think bees are super cool. Don't you?
Honestly though. Your support will help us to make Beezus a reality, and we're all in this together! There's a lot to fund, and the more support we get, the better! Here's the breakdown:
- Steel for the frame
-Re-routing all of the steering and pedals to the top of the bee-hicle
-Fabric for Beezus' fancy coat
-Lighting so Beezus can spread his mighty glow
-A comfy lounge area inside for weary travelers
-Our amazing custom honey bar
-Supplies for serving
-Batteries, charger, and generator to keep Beezus cruising (most crucial AND most expensive element)
$3,500 is our goal, but the more we raise, the fancier Beezus can bee! Let's do this!
Plus if you support us, you get some sweet gifts! Here's a taste:

Risks and challenges
Probably the biggest single risk is that Beezus will be so incredibly amazing that people's heads might explode. That, and running out of honey.
But even though Beezus is an all-powerful omni-bee, there are still some crucial risks and challenges- the biggest of which is funding! Even once Beezus is built, there is the issue of getting him to the playa. Beezus is far too majestic to fly himself, and trailers for a week or two ain't cheap! That's why we want you to be a part of this! Our Bee-lievers are what will make this happen! We've already started the build, and luckily have a crack team of seasoned welders, carpenters, and creative geniuses to help tackle any structural issues that arise.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
