Pop!-parel is an artistic venture brought to you by Gladys (the artist) and Eric (the entrepreneur). With our powers combined, we will change the way you think about art and apparel. Our inspiration for this project comes from our love of 80's and 90's nostalgia, pop culture, cartoons, comics and more!
If you're like us, you love art! But why spend a bunch of money to hang a piece of canvas on your wall that no one sees?
Why not share your love of art with the world?
That's what Pop!-parel is all about! We're here to share our artistic graphic tees with you, your neighbor, your friends, and even your local barista!
These are not your average tees by any means. All graphics are digitally illustrated by a single artist (Gladys), making each design a one of a kind classic.
Our Pop!-parel line encourages people to express their style and creativity, all with just one piece of clothing. (They're also a great conversation starter!)
So whether you're walking down the street, stopping to get a cup of coffee, or even going to a party; become a walking masterpiece by wearing Pop!-parel.
For this project, we're offering our very first ten designs. We have a lot of other ideas and concepts in the works, but we're confident that you'll get our sense of the artistic style through this first set.
S, IS FOR SHIRT...
THAT'S NO TOOTSIE POP...
HOW DO YOU CUPCAKE?
We want our shirts and designs to last you a long time. That's why we plan to print our designs on good quality adult unisex t-shirts. We're aware that we might pay a little more for quality, but we definitely think its worth it.
We've done a lot of research into different t-shirt printing companies including drop ship suppliers, screen printers, and DTG (direct to garment) printers. But after much consideration, we've decided to use a local supplier. We really like the idea of supporting local business and being close to production for quality control.
We're confident that we're going to give you a shirt that you'll love to wear any day of the week!
Our initial goal of this project is to reach $2,000. The money pledged will help us to fund order fulfillment, build inventory for future orders, and find the right local supplier.
We also wanted to offer a little more for all of our supporters, so we'll include our Button Pack with every shirt reward as a BONUS.
If this Kickstarter is successful, we plan to create an online retail store to continue selling our designs and keep our dream going!
A little more about us--
Gladys and Eric are a couple living in Portland, OR. Gladys graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Eric with a degree in Business Management. This is our first (and hopefully not last) Kickstarter campaign. We both have a passion for art, business, innovation, and technology.
All of these designs were hand-drawn by Gladys, with a mouse, using a Mac Laptop and Adobe Illustrator. Our video was also created by Gladys using PowerPoint and iMovie. Story and rewards written by Eric.
Risks and challenges
The designs, shirts, and buttons shown above are all mock-ups. Actual products may vary in terms of graphic size, positioning, color tones, and shirt colors. However, we plan to create products that are as true as possible to the mock-ups above.
We don't have a local supplier yet, but we do know of a number of apparel printers in the area. If all else fails, we've also done extensive research on online printers and have a backup to fulfill orders, just in case.
Shipping times are an estimate and may change based on the number of rewards pledged. If we receive more orders than we anticipate, it may delay shipments.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
