This project is inspired by the number of people it serves, the children it may save, and the inertia it may overcome.  The product or rewards for our donation and investment  are a variety of reports that inform you what products are on the market to avoid more children from dying when abandoned in a car, truck, bus or even at home. 

The final product is a quality, Venture Capital & Investor proposal  that includes product reviews, technology comparisons, intellectual property assessment, feature and market analysis to derive a proposed end-to-end socially engineered black box system addressing everyday requirements from human behavior and performance to current technologies offered by automotive companies and entrepreneurs to mitigate or overcome Car Abandonment Syndrome -leaving your child, pet, senior citizen or person with disability in an abandoned car under hazardous conditions.

It happens unintentionally. It may happen intentionally. So let's be prepared.

How ?

Initial market research suggests the solution space is larger than child car seats.

What's the hold back ? 

Government response has asserted the technologies are not sufficiently reliable. And automotive companies prefer a solution that is modular or plug and play that is installed or operated by the parents.  From the Pinto to today's Ignition switch, liability is a hurdle for additional car sensors responsible for saving one's child under the context of human error already resulting in child deaths.

How can a Crowd Sourced solution work?

Understanding how, why, and when vulnerable people and pets are left alone in a vehicle under hazardous conditions will let us know the requirements to work with. This will let us know if a mechanical, electrical, human reminder, remote operated, or other type of system is required or how to integrate many solutions for a socially engineering integrated system.

The products that currently exist address only a very few, narrowly defined situations. They also assume the parent  or caregiver has left the vulnerable person in the car accidentally and can return to the car immediately. The solutions also assume it only happens to infants and some toddlers.

Synergy and a suite of solutions is required to meet affordability, adoption, and policy to protect those most likely to be injured or die from  car abandonment syndrome -children, elderly, people with disability, and pets. 

Furthermore, an active, Crowdsource campaign informs the public and private sector the value of a solution and tests our ability to design a common ground solution. This  will also let us know the framework of what negotiations are requires with automakers, public policy, legislation, insurance carriers and scope of public assistance in any given situation.
