Almost ready to ship first batch

Hello, I have most of the parts now and they should be shipped beginning of next week! I have also been testing the hat across different models and it all works well thanks to the Gert interface. No changes are needed at all to the files when switching the SD card between differnet models. The only issue I found was that on the A+ the composite shorts on the USB connector case but as it is not used it is disconnected anyway. Remeber that composite will only work on the Zero because of its extra breakout pins but audio and VGA work across all models.

Thanks!

Ben

Thanks for the reply Ben, that clears it up perfectly!

@Charlie Thanks! Correct, they introduced 4 new pins on the zero that the others do not have which provide composite and reset. That is why the footprint of the connector is an L shape. On the A+ the pins are not connected so as far as its concerned its just unelectrically connected metal. You can get audio and VGA out of all the Pis.

      Hi Ben,

It's really exciting to see this Kickstarter project proceed so quickly! I backed your project at the '2nd batch' level. You have been clear and communicative and I have no concerns about delivery. Thank you!

I was hoping you could clarify one point. You said in this update that "the A+ the composite shorts on the USB connector case but as it is not used it is disconnected". You also said that "composite will only work on the Zero because of its extra breakout pins but audio and VGA work across all models". I took this to mean that only the Zero has the extra 2 pins for composite, so the RCA composite on the Analog Expander Cap only works on the Zero. But all the other connectors work on all Raspberry Pi boards. Am I in the ballpark here?
