About

The above is a video of the extraordinary violinist and composer Mari Kamura perform her GUITARBOTANA for violin and robotic guitar.

Described by the New York Times as "chilling, gripping and charming: a virtuoso for the digital age," Ms. Kimura is among the very few who can make utterly convincing music out of advanced technology.

I am  a composer and animator, and the curator of AMPHIBIAN, a new music/video series at the HiArt Gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea art district. On April 25th Mari will be giving a concert of her own works, and premieres by other composers, including my composition, LATERAL, for solo violin.

Given the difficulty of finding funding for conventional projects, and and the unusual nature of Ms. Kimura's work, I  am seeking your support for her recital; I'm certain that you will see its interest and value.

We very much hope to see you there, and at any of the series events.
