Lucy is a writer based in North Essex. Her historical research has ranged from the lives and deaths of Victorian missionaries in Africa, to the experiences of soldiers in the First World War. She has also written extensively on the practice and philosophy of yoga and meditation. Her first book, The Naked Jape, established her as something of an authority on the origins and meaning of jokes. She is currently turning her missionary research into a full-length non-fiction book.
