MOVE is built to fit as many different manually operated indoor blinds and shades as possible that has a cord or bead chain. MOVE can be controlled directly by a smartphone or automated based on time, temperature or solar conditions.
Super easy to install
Anybody can easily and quickly install MOVE without the need of craftsman or electrician. Its housing is either fastened using wall bracket or dual side tape. The housing contains the necessary batteries. Solar panel for battery charging included. No connection to electrical outlets necessary.
Rise and shine!
Use the timer function and wake up to natural light. Every MOVE unit can be set individually which means that you can set multiple time schedules of your own choice.
If you want the livingroom to be dark just sit back, relax, and push the button in your app. Tada! Let the excitement begin.
Once you finished your movie the regular settings will be re-applied automatically.
Controlled inner climate
Wouldn’t it be nice if your blinds and shades would react to sunshine or temperature? MOVE does all that for you!
Activate the settings and your windows will be shaded automatically, making it cooler and protected from strong sunshine. When the sun is clouded or goes down, the window shades will open up again.
All settings are managed in the app and MOVE can be controlled directly by a smartphone or automated based on time, temperature or solar conditions.
A basic schedule is easy to set for every MOVE unit and will be remembered even if temporary motions are performed by you manually. This way MOVE will always open and close the blinds according to your settings while also allowing you to sometimes run them by the app. The app will initially be launched to Android and iOS followed thereafter by a Windows Phone app.
Inside MOVE technology
MOVE uses a CSR1010 module with Bluetooth Smart, the module have CSRmesh radio which is a mesh protocol running over Bluetooth Smart. This means multiple units can communicate with each other forwarding transmissions making the radio coverage better. This also makes it possible to link MOVE units together making them act as one.
We have put a lot of time into designing and testing the custom metal gearbox. Our goal has been to make it very powerful yet as quiet as possible. In order to ensure its function even under heavy load the gears are made of metal and the output axel has dual bearings. The motor is controlled with back EMF which is a way of determining the rpm of the motor, thanks to this it's possible to calibrate endpoints. MOVE also have a force limiting safety feature making it safe to use.
MOVE is pretty strong.
MOVE will have a open API to the hardware making it possible for anyone to tweak it into a existing home automation systems or just make a own cool control app.
Making MOVE go
We wanted MOVE to be as easy as possible to install out of the box so we made MOVE run on standard batteries (4 x AAA) as default and by using our included solar panel in combination with rechargeable batteries MOVE will become self-sufficient.
MOVE can also be installed with permanent power by using a USB port power supply with a micro USB cable (not included).

Why did we make MOVE?
A while back we were on the lookout for a motor that could motorize existing indoor blinds and shades. Although nearly all home automation companies uses motorized blinds and shades we could not find anything that could be retrofitted. The only options we found would force the replacement of existing products for new expensive ones. Furthermore you need to hire an electrician to have it installed. We thought there should be a better way, so we made -MOVE.
Our goal was very clear! ”Produce a motor that is universal, affordable, simple to install and multi-functional!”

We have done all we can with private investors and support from friends and family’s but to get MOVE into the market we need more. Risks and challenges
We are a small company and small companies can be faced with difficulties when it comes to manufacturing a new product. Problems and costs may come up that are unexpected for us. We have done all we can do before launching this Kickstarter campaign to remove stumbling blocks. We now have our ducks in row for starting manufacturing according to our Timeline.
