A solution to one Lunatic Revealed Maze Puzzle in Cherry Burl.
What early testers are saying:
"Gorgeous! Simply stunning!
I've been playing with mine and it is really tough. Trying to solve on sound is very hard. I'm only using one ball bearing but it comes with 2! One challenge is to solve with 2 balls simultaneously (either together or in opposite directions) I'm actually shuddering at how tough that's going to be."
In an effort to satisfy demand for larger mazes I am now offering four and five inch hidden mazes in Cherry, Walnut, and Maple Burls.
I am not yet able to offer this size in a "Not so Hidden Maze."
What others are saying about my previous mazes!
"The woods are wonderful, unique, unbelievable ... 2 wonderful pieces of art in my collection.
"I like it!"
"The Cocobolo has really beautiful patterns and colors " "You've definitely improved the product."
"I received my maze yesterday. I am pleased and my 6 year old likes it too. It's interesting and obviously going to be a conversation piece."
"I was very pleased with the maze! Sort of... I mostly have used it as a talking point and a really gorgeous desk piece. That is all because I haven't had the time to sit down and try to solve it all in one sitting."
This is my maze that I have designed and perfected for over 15 years! I have had to sell off many tools as the years have gone by and I am now left with fewer than needed to make this new design more efficiently and safely. I have started this new Kickstarter in hopes of attaining several tools that would allow me to make the Lunatic for a price most people will feel is fair for such a hand crafted item.
This was my second prototype I had built back in 2000.
This was a Purpleheart wood Maze I brought to market through Cleverwood in 2008.
This was a Maple Burl Maze I also brought to market through Cleverwood in 2008.
Some of the last Hidden Labyrinths I completed in 2013.
As You can see the concept has greatly improved do to the recent success of other Kickstarter projects.
This is the Lunatic Revealed!
The new prototype build has been a pleasant challenge and I am glad to share it with you. Wood can be unpredictable and for the figured mazes even more so!
Wow! Cherry Is My Favorite.
And now the rest of the Maze.
My latest maze creation I bring to torture your mind for hours.
The maze is now set inside an acrylic case so your path can be viewed.
Sounds easy right? I have added a twist...or four! The Labyrinth may not be so hidden but now you have two steel bearings to play with!
So let us begin!
The Maze is offered in Basswood, Cherry, Walnut, Maple, Cocobolo, Bocote, Padauk, and Amboyna. As well as figured Cherry, Maple, and Walnut.
Figured wood refers to burl, curly, or spalted grain patterns which offer a more unique appearance(Fancy Grain). These woods entail a longer labor time due to the careful workings of such wood and also an increased material cost.
With the two steel bearing inside, this maze can be played many different ways. A few ways include:
1. Traditional - Both bearings needing to make it from one end to the next.
2. Each ball must make it to opposite ends to completed the game.
3.Each ball must make it to opposite ends to completed the game and without either ball touching while en route.
4. Each ball must make it to opposite ends without returning to the point of origin, or in other words each ball can not reach the others destination.
And any other way that your creative mind can conjure!

-Premature tool wear.
-Material not behaving as expected.
These issues will be built into my material cost and time deadlines.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
