i was wondering when was the "sneak peak of our unique rear-projection system."
Hey, just wondering if there was an updated eta for backer items? Thanks!
Why did you spend $7.45 in postage to send me a totally empty long cardboard box?
Any chance of an update in regards to the timetable for items to be shipped? Thanks! I'm glad you guys are upgrading - the Brattle deserves the best.
Got my stuff today, thanks :)
An update would be nice. When can I expect my membership or my other items to be shipped?
Love that you are distributing your premiums, but my link to your rewards does not work.
This is such great news! Congratulations! Will you give backers a heads up on when tickets will be available to purchase for Neil & Amanda's movie night?
Good for you. My reward was simply helping you out. You're great.

Project Update #7: The eagle has landed!
For backers only, Posted by Brattle Film Foundation
At 12am this morning I breathed a huge sigh of relief as our first ever Kickstarter campaign ended successfully. Even though we passed our goal this past Sunday, I was still somehow convinced that a Muppets level disaster would happen – like someone would bump a server at Amazon HQ and our total would be revealed as 149,000 cents instead of dollars.
BUT, thankfully, this did not happen and now we can wrap up 5 weeks of neurotically checking our Kickstarter page and pitching our cause far and wide on the internet. We did it! YOU did it! Thank you!
I want to thank each of you individually for pitching in what you could to help this wonderful cinema forge ahead. This place has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager and I can't thank you enough for contributing to the Brattle's continued vitality.
I also want to give a shout out to two of our biggest cheerleaders, Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman. They were instrumental in pushing this campaign forward and generously offered their time and attention to it without us even having to ask. Of course there are a lot of other people who helped spread the word, from Edgar Wright to Harvard Book Store, and we thank them deeply as well.
So what's next? Well, we're finalizing bids, meeting with suppliers, and organizing a schedule for the work to be done. The digital projection will probably come first - we hope to have that installed by early May. We plan on having the HVAC system installed sometime in April-June before the summer mugginess descends upon New England. Of course we'll keep you updated about both of these projects as we move forward.
Since we raised a bit above our goal (and we have some additional funds set aside), it looks like we will have the ability to add surround sound to the Brattle as well. This will probably take some time as we want to make sure we can complete the first two projects before we tackle a third but, if all goes according to plan, we should be getting to that by the summer/fall.
That's all for now. We'll be in touch shortly to follow up about your perks and rewards as well as give you more updates as they become available. In the meantime, thanks again so much for supporting great movies and the Brattle!

Congrats Brattle! Super excited to see how it rolls. Rock Band brought me here last year and I'm glad you guys got funded!
1977 - Fred Astaire double feature the night before my first physics hourly my freshman year. There's no place like the Brattle - glad we made it!
Congratulations for crossing the finish line! All of us here at the Starlight Theatre in Nantucket were routing for you!
I am really happy to see you crossed the line! Can't wait to see what the name of the new HVAC is... ;-)
Congrats! I'm very happy for the Brattle Theatre and indie theatre community of the Boston area!
You might want to link to and post about KS on your Facebook page. I'm running a KS campaign right now, and FB has proven to be a great resource.
Just increased my pledge! We are getting so close!
Yeah for making it halfway!
Couple things... First, we're working on a perk that will include tix to the Neil & Amanda screenings. More details soon. Second, we'll be doing a preview of the t-shirt early next week (or tonight if we hit $70k before midnight!).
Drew, that's so crazy it just might work!
It would be great to get a preview of the t-shirt design!
suggestion: sell tickets for those Neil & Amanda showings right now, or make them a reward. If I were able to buy a ticket for something Neil Gaiman picked out, I would without knowing what or when it was. I'll bet a lot of people would, they both have a huge fanbase here
Yup, what Richard said.
You guys need to keep the momentum up on this! post updates! make goals! Convince people to tell their friends!
I remember watching Blade Runner for the first time at a showing in the Brattle. A friend introduced me to the movie and the Brattle in the mid 1980s
I mailed my membership renewal just last week, or else I would've added it to my pledge!
Normally I would click past this page as the jaded and soulless man that I am but your video made me laugh too many times. You win this time Brattle.
Break a leg! Rototing for you guys!
Good luck, guys! Been coming to movies (and the occasional concert) here since 1994, age 17...
